hairdresser here, color doesn't lift color, meaning, you can't make a permanent color (anything used with 20vol, 30vol or 40vol) lighter with anything but bleach. Although she is using t18 which is said to be a Toner, it is actually a permanent color and she is making it permanent by using 20vol. Toners are generally Demi permanent meaning 10vol or 5vol. Toning on dry hair makes it last longer and take more, and toning with 20vol helps make it permanent and drive the dye molecules all the way into the hair shaft. Hope this helps with at home coloring!

I’m former stylist you can also bleach your roots Frist wash it out dry your hair then mix hair color apply it in place of toner Wella has a (Frosty Ash) hair color you can mix it with 20 volume developer leave it on 20-30 minutes

My hair was 100% gray so all I had is was do a bleach bath and then I used a level 9 ash-blonde, then few weeks later I gave it another bleach bath because I wanted a lighter color. Hey here is a question, next time you bleach would you consider the charcoal bleach/toner in one?

Omg I just did the same toners to my hair. I started out red and bleached it one day and the next day I bleached it again. The two toners turned out really good like yours. You are so funny!!! I’m happy I found you on here.

We call the blonde you were going for "champagne" lol. Not too ashy, not too warm, but still very light. Honestly doing your regrowth first dry probably helped, ad it was much more yellow than your ends and helped it to process more evenly. When you dampened your ends that were lighter it diluted the product and stopped them from grabbing too much color. Looks good

Strange, any color expert I’ve ever talked to says leave hair damp, it allows the process to fully soak in and encourages the over all even flow of the toner..this ensures you don’t end up having some areas perfect white and other areas slightly more yellow.

Try an eyelash glue eyeliner! It makes it easy putting lashes on if you’re not use to it. You just put it on as eyeliner and it’s lash glue too so you put the lashes right on the eyeliner.

I always apply toner when its dry and it works everytime, maybe tones a bit purple if I leave it to long but it works

Warm + cool = neutral... want cool but not too ashy ??? Add maybe 2 parts t 18 1 part t 15 :) want more gold but not too honey ?? Do 2 t 15 and 1 t 18 ;) don't want either warm nor cool, keep it creamy and use 1 part t18 and 1 part t 15... for that icey platinum do more t18... for a true platinum just go even parts of both ;) either way bestie your gunna look amazing ❤

I haven’t watched yet but I just did mine with the Sally’s generic redken shades eq glosses and it is so dark 😭 and it sure isn’t fading like wella does with some clarifying shampoo, so confused because the colors I picked were literally so similar to the wella ones that you use in this video 😭 the struggles of being a blonde

Toner will be a semi permanent color , so it depends on how porous, and how many times you wash it. It will fade over time. Some people need to repeat when the yellows or brass comes back…..or simply no, not permanent.
