The perfect day trip from Hiroshima to Miyajima Island!
Steeped in history and surrounded by the natural beauty of Hiroshima Bay 広島湾, it's not wonder #miyajima island 宮島 is considered one of Japan's most iconic and sacred destinations. From the grand Itsukushima Shrine 厳島神社 and torii gate that floats just above the water to the adorable population of shiku deer (similar to those found in Nara, Japan) to its beautifully preserved ancient temples and shrines, many consider this Japanese island getaway the Kyoto of west Japan (without the crowds!).
Wondering how to get to Miyajima from Hiroshima? Join us as we take the scenic route, from Hiroshima's classic street car (or hiroden) to the Miyajimaguchi Station ferry. In our experience, this #hiroshimatravel day trip is one of the best and easiest in all of Japan.
Plus, all the Hiroshima oysters and setouchi lemons you can eat! Find out why Miyajima Street Food is a must when visiting this magical island. #宮島

If you ever do go back, try staying the night. Sunset there is a totally different vibe and if you wake up early enough the next morning, you'll have the entire island to yourselves before the hordes arrive haha.

So many vendors. But they utilize local products in their offering surprisingly well. And they are well thought, efficient and refined even.

Awww totally enjoyed this vlog, Miyajima Island is one place I have on my travel for Japan this year and I feel I would enjoy it a lot. Even if there were many people (hence you went at 12pm) it felt calm and some areas were an absolute treat like that smaller shrine on that hill.
@RalphSam

Thank you so much! We personally recommend Miyajima 💖 Even though there were a lot of people, it didn't feel overwhelming. You could get around easily and still enjoy the island. The most crowded areas I would say are the popular street food shops.

hello. just want to ask how you guys ask permission to take a photo of a Japanese local?❤
@RalphSam
@RalphSam 2 ай бұрын
Thanks for your question. Ive always been a street photographer so Ive always had that curiosity with people. My tip is to simply ask if you can take a photo even in English, and when in Japan, I follow it with a smile, a polite bow and an "ii desu ka?" (is this okay?) while pointing to my camera. I try to make them comfortable. It may or may not be a success. Usually people are flattered when I take their outfit photo 😊✌🏽

Amazing, as always🐱💕 Question. Do you ever get nervous taking pictures out in public? I’ve missed so many great shots due to fear. Has that ever happened to you?
@RalphSam
@RalphSam 2 ай бұрын
Thank you! Well, not really nervous. Maybe one time approaching a sumo wrestler. I think it comes with experience. Ive been a street photographer longer than a youtuber. Always helps to practice with intention. Shoot what you like often and enjoy the random conversations with strangers ✨️🥸✌🏽 then the portraits will follow

Haha we only have tourist visas ourselves. But since the Philippines is only a few hours away from Japan, it's pretty easy for us to visit often. 😊 You could also look into relocating to an Asian country close to Japan.

Hello, May I share the most important news you will ever hear in life? God the Father sent His holy Son Jesus Christ(Y'shua Ha' Mashiach) from heaven to earth, to be born of a virgin. He grew up and died on the cross for our sins. He was put into a tomb for 3 days, and then Abba Father raised Jesus to life and He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must all sincerely receive Jesus to be a true child of God. It says in John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." Will you genuinely believe on Christ Jesus and truly receive Him today, before it is too late?

Oh, You went all the way to Miyajima but didn't climb Mt. Misen?⛰ That would be such a waste. The breathtaking view from the top of Mt. Misen is like being in heaven. In 2015, the "View from Misen Observatory" was awarded three stars by the Michelin Green Guide Japan. At the foot of the mountain is Daishoin, the oldest temple in Miyajima, whose "indelible fire" has been burning for 1200 years, giving a sense of history and mystery (it is the seed fire of the Peace Memorial Park's "Peace Lamp").
