Hey! A tip for the ankles! I have the smallest heels and ankles in the world so finding shoes are really hard so I would advise (even if u don’t have small ankles) getting a size up then wearing thick socks on the tightest setting. Better than nothing!

My mom has learned many years ago not to do this because she has understood that platform boots actually don't hurt more than other shoes unless they are platform heeled boots. All of mine has minimum heel height really just a huge platform but are almost flat.

Smart wool and Darn Tough are my go to socks for just about everything I do year round, from 95°f and humid to -15°f with snow and ice. Definitely more expensive than cotton, but last longer (especially the Darn Tough) and depending on the model of sock and situation are much much more comfortable.

Yea, I usually buy vintage goth shoes instead of modern ones because it's easier to find real leather. Pleather is terrible for the environment, doesn't look good over time because it cracks and peels. New rocks are a good modern option for real leather tho. My favorite brands to search for are el dantes and swears but a lot of times with vintage shoes if they weren't worn enough they'll crumble and your expensive beautiful vintage platforms are dead. If you're interested in seeing what happens look up crumbling Jordan's. It sucks

Get some adhesive backed/stick on black velcro. Cut it to hide inside the boot and velcro that bitch in place! :D Just make sure its hidden well because it will damage the fake leather if you try to peel it off. Make sure you have just the right spot before you stick it down.

I'm a size 16 too and have fairly wide calves as well thinking about buying a pair, were you able to make them work? I also have a size 8 shoe so idk if the top size gets smaller the smaller the shoe or vice versa

@@piethellamacorn4924 I ended up just tucking the top straps into the laces so it looks like it’s strapped from afar. But there is a problem with the buckles clinking when you walk so I just tie them together with the extra lace then make a little knot. I hope that helps x

Are you sure you got genuine demonias? Cus there are alot lf identical demonia copies out there where this happen. Always make sure you buy from an authorozed demonia retailer or from demonias own webshop

Ooohhh i know that this is bothersome, but think about it, as long as your feet are growing i think its the best to wear “normal” shoes, so you will not have any health problems with your feet! (So you will be able to wear platforms when your feet are fully grown hehe🤗)

You will stop growing eventually and then you can buy all the nice shoes. While you are growing its really much better for your health to just wear more normal shoes because it could cause issues with your bones and tendons when they aren't fully set yet. Don't worry you will still have a few decades where you can wear whatever shoes you want even if it sucks right now to wait a whole longer it's worth it.

I mean your foots are still growing and if you force them to fit in it can really hurt you just wait until they fully grow and in the meantime you can save up more money to buy what you want ❤

100% Agree!! Pennangalan, Fantasy Shoes, Magic Shoe Co., and a few others were all infinitely better quality than Demonia. It makes me sad that this absolute crap is all that is left... and then I get mad because this company is totally ripping off all these younger goths that don't know any better. They save up and make this high-dollar purchase thinking they are getting good boots only to have them fall apart SOOOO quickly. Demonias have always been garbage but at least back in the day they were cheaper! Hell, before Demonia started making them, I even had a pair of Stacks (the Hot Topic versions of them) that were better made! They lasted about 20 YEARS* before anything finally broke on them! *And before anyone asks they were not daily wear boots. But out of that 20 years, I'd say half of that was wearing them to the club on nearly a weekly basis and dancing my ass off in them for 4+ hours at a time. Definitely got my $50 out of that pair! ;)

I dont think you can cut it out, but you can just add more holes to the back, to make them wider! the problem about the shoe tongue is just that it is always moving to the side i dont think the width is a problem.. but maybe if they fit you you could attach it somewhere in the middle on the shoe so it doesnt move around!

You can cut I it did cut it with a razor blade carefully from the inside, slide it down slowly and after I used a hair dryer on high head and but it where it looks like the see in was and it helped the tongue look like it was not really stitched

I know I’m 8months+ late to your comment but I need some help and maybe you can give me some advice. I really want the 318s but I’m usually a 81/2 in “regular” everyday shoes except every now and then I can fit into a 7-71/2 depending on the type of shoe. Should I size up or size down because they don’t seem to really have half sizes.

I have been buying all of my own clothes since I was 10 with birthday money from my grandparents even though I had no other income. I got a new therapist lately and even she said that she could immediately tell that I had a controlling mother just from talking to her for 20 minutes, that's how bad it is. Sorry for basically ranting my life story to you, I'm just kind of fed up since today I actually told my mom that I wanted to spend my own money on some Demonias and she basically said that I buy too much, that she gets to control how I spend my own money, and she played the victim card like she always does. I love her, but she makes it really difficult to even have a conversation with her because she's stubborn and controlling.

I don’t know if these are expensive or not, but if they are and you’re still growing, I’d wait to buy these and buy some cheaper shoes instead. Then you could diy and add metal bits and such or whatever you can find at a craft store. This could also help convince your parents to get them when you’ve stopped growing If you have stopped growing, I’d try to use that as an argument for getting them

I know this is a little old, but i figured id throw out a little advice if youre still looking into wearing platforms and struggling with your parents saying no. I would suggest trying out a pair of simple creeper style shoes, like a basic black platform on a short shoe. Ive seen them a lot on mercari and poshmark, a lot of times from 2000s mall brands. Its nowhere near the fashion impact of the demonias, but could be a way to get a vaguely similar look/get used to walking in platforms until you have more financial freedom. Some diy with a few cheap studs/chains can always help to punk the look up a bit too. Also, sorry, your parents sound like a real handful
