@jack under yes it was popularized during dancing machine. This is more of a pop locking variation but still sweet as hell

Such a shame that the Robot was originally done as part of a mime's routine. Charles Washington was the first dancer to put The Robot dance routines to music. We were doing The Robot and The Backslide at house parties and BBQs long before Jackson did it on TV as part of The Dancing Machine.

@Jack Under I checked out your post and you added the word "true" to the beginning of the post that isn't in the Wikipedia article. Unless your meaning is it's "true" to a post that isn't true at all. I noticed you didn't mention the mime that used the movements in his routine during the 1960s and you failed to mention Charles Washington being the first to put The Robot to music.
