This is why wrestling was once taken seriously..Staying in character allows the fans to continue to suspend beliefs and it can generate real heat, if you don't maintain character you're breaking the illusion. Since wrestling requires that illusion for the fans to engage with it, wrestlers should maintain this illusion for their benifit as well as the fans..

Honestly, the level in which he embraces this harsh personality and is willing to put fans through just non-stop verbal abuse is a testament to how much he actually cares about the fan base. It must be absolutely mentally draining to come up will all of those attacks/comebacks non-stop, and he does it so that the fans can feel like they're now a part of the storyline that is his character. Did you notice that the dad got to choose which picture they wanted to have autographed and he selected the MJF/Punk face to face picture. MJF gets it a immediately draws an X over Punk's face and then autographs his side of the picture...all the while talking trash to this kid and her dad and never missing a beat. This dude is on another level! He's so good.

You gotta love how he's just keeping an eye on her reaction, knowing when to lay in a bit to get a rise but not too much. That's good heel work right there

Indeed but I hope people don’t bombard him with rudeness. The kid was cool but hopefully people don’t treat him like a zoo animal

MJF gets to go out in public and just say the rudest shit to everyone, and not only is he allowed to do this, he is encouraged and paid very, very well to. The man is a GENIUS.

The true meaning of heat Excellent job MJF and kudos to you young lady. MJF respects somebody giving it back to him as opposed to just taking it stand up to bullies. You're better than him and he knows it. 👏👏👏

IMHO, best part of this video is the "Thanks" to the very under the breath "your welcome" from MJF near the end. Enough to show the appreciation and also stay in character. This guy is an absolute star. Sounds like you two had an amazing time!

What a Memory for Dad and Daughter.....I wholeheartedly believe MJF will think about this particular autographing moment many times down the road and it will remind him of how bad he wanted to do this back when he too was standing in line to get something signed and have a photo with a Famous Rassler! Good Job Dad Matthew Cheers From Ohio
