That’s such a great response! I never thought of it in those terms. Obviously it’s all weapons grade stupidity but if you were to ask me about any of the things I strongly believe in I can give you a list of supporting reasons why, because I truly feel that way. It’s almost like SovCits need the script because the minuscule part of their brain that still contains a small amount of logic and reasoning is always chiming in reminding them how illogical and wildly incorrect their beliefs are.

If someone wants to be a SovCit - fine. But be a SovCit with a legal DL-registration-insurance. "Right to travel" applies to the shotgun rider and the back seat drivers...not the one behind the wheel. Look at cost of maintaining the documents vs. court-fines-maybe glass repair (not covered by the state...or insurance)

That's actually one of the marks of this kind of nonsense. Sovs, contheorists, &c ... They've *heard* of Occam's Razor, but they want nothing to do with it. When interacting with simple reality on reality's simple terms doesn't give them what they want -- confirmation of what they want to believe -- they opt for a ludicrously baroque theory that does. The more moving parts theory has, the less robust it is. That very complexity suggests that it's held together by a whole lot of duct-tape-and-chewing gum kludges meant to hide the weaknesses and contradictions. It's like the old-time astronomers trying to model the solar system. They had an almost religious fixation on circular motion, so they had to invent a whole Rube Goldberg apparatus of cycles and epicycles and deferents to explain the motions of the planets, and the very complexity of the attempts to cover errors showed that the theory had to be wrong in some basic way -- but nobody dared deny circular motion, so the Grand Spirograph just got more and more complex. Then Kepler came in and said "Ellipses!" And then the whole thing became clear and simple.

I'm a chemistry masters grad so I'm no expert but I am still super curious about how many of their stated objectives are actually met by this system? It's often -- I think usually -- not *stupidity* that drives people to fall for these scams, but a kind of desperation for anything that gives them a (phantasmal) sense of power and control. That explains why bad debts, divorce, custody proceedings, joblessness, and prior legal troubles seem to be so pervasive among people who buy into sov thinking. In other words, these gurus are scammers preying on weak, desperate people's troubles and landing them in *worse* troubles for their own profit. That alone makes them utter scum in my eyes. I think I remember something in the Hasidic Jewish faith where each letter that makes up the words of the Talmud is represented by a number. There is also no punctuation in the text so scholars read portions of the text trying to achieve a numerical outcome which is the number of God or something. I would imagine it would be difficult at best reading text that has no full stop's or comma's to indicate where sentences begin, end or pause.
