This is probably gonna seem super out of the blue for a lot of you, but the two of us have enjoyed MK speedruns of varying kinds before (see Ketchup UMK3 and us both Shaolin Monks) and this is something I've (Mustard) have been interested in trying out for a while! This game is hard, and learning how to run it was a challenge, but I really enjoyed the learning experience and will continue to try and improve this time. The rules are: Very Hard Difficulty Emulator Must be shown Time starts on begin game and ends when you run through the shinnok portal that's basically it!

The fact that someone can actually speed run let alone beat it is astounding in itself. Salute.

The fact that this game can be beaten is a testament to human achievement

I think this is the only game in history that no one wants to play, but everyone will watch someone else play.

I remember when this game came out. What people fail to understand is that this was the first time we fans of MK had a look at the lore from a different point of view (not like today, we only had the movie and a really bad cartoon), which it was amazing for me. I really enjoyed it, and it's still one of my favorites in the franchise. Thanks for the memories!

I remember playing this game as a kid and wanting to be able to climb the ropes like Sub-Zero. I never beat the game and I've never been able to climb those ropes in RL

I used to play this on my N64 when I was really young I was SO bad. I don’t even think I beat the first level if I’m being real lol

First game I ever played on PS1 was MK IV. This really makes me not want to play this game, ever. Great run!

I rented this game in 98 and it was so bad I went and exchanged it the next morning.

I always liked this game. Every two years I have the need to play the whole game again and again. I like to save the urns so I can deafeat Shinnok in his monster form. It's a hard game, it always makes me feel successful when I beat it.

Play this back when I had hair, and got as far to quanchi.... And that's that. I gave up, and gave it to my friend, who I found out later that he broke both CDs in a tantrum over not being able to pass the wind platform stage.
