So I was in the middle of working on notes for an MK11 video, when Ed decided to have fun at our expense and tweet for a good while teases and clues to new DLC or a Kombat Pack, which led me to start notes for another video, but then! He decides to tweet a tease that leads people to discussing an interesting theory of what the announcement this month could be...a remaster of an old MK game, like Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks. Let’s break down the tweet and see if that would make for a good announcement.

@@christiandnv6052 because obviously all game developers want to make their games into online games, so they can get more profit by removing the 2 player offline system, for example, like moto gp 2018-2020 and Need for speed, all online, maybe in the future we are not allowed to play with people who the same house with us but with random people we don't know who and you know how toxic they are in the conversation and it's very, very annoying >:(

I just saw a video for a MK Mythologies: Sub-Zero Remastered and it looked pretty good. I mean it wasn’t completely brought to at least PS4/XBO level graphics, but it looked way better than the original. Gives me hope we’ll see a Shaolin Monks Remastered.

I'm pretty sure he said fire and ice because that was the name of the canceled sequel to shaolin monks where subzero and scorpion were the main characters

I think mk shaolin monks is the best option honestly.. the gameplay is so open and ur able to explore.. everything about it is just badass. I just hope it's an actual remastering cause sometimes they change alot of things and end up ruining them

Hell yeah this is the only game that me and my wife ever enjoyed playing together and we have been waiting for another 1 for 15 years and the only co op games Mortal Kombat has had

I would buy that remaster immediately, MKSM was my childhood, I didn't have a memory card on my Ps2 so every time I got off it would reset my progress but I still played for hours and the game would freeze once I got to the level where raiden electracutes the water in outworld(at least I think that was outworld🤔)

The Best One For Me Would Be The Remastered Of MK Deception, Gamecube Version, Cause Of Two Extra Playable Characters, Shao Kahn, And Goro. This One Would Also Be Interesting On Nintendo Switch.

I think they should release a remastered anthology of some of the older MK titles, including Shao Lin Monks, for the Switch. There’s a new generation of players who will get to relive those games all over again.

With all the previous games there starting to fall into the non dedicated trend of rinse repeat which if they keep pushing for more with the same gimic and not towards the fans, might cause them to keep going on the ride but with so much momentum eventually there is always a peak before the fall on why we haven't seen one. Just hope the second game isn't a last resort to appease fans.

Actually Fire and Ice is a lost sequel to Shaolin monks, it was going to be released for Xbox 360 but it was cancelled, there is some early art online

I did. I think he is sending a message to the same guys who fan remastered MK4 in the Unreal 4 Engine to give SM a modern touch.

Fire and Ice? Nice, but wish Ed Boon was serious, not a troll. A few years ago, they cancelled it because they were busy working on Injustice 2 after MKX was done. Why are not they re-releasing MK Arcade Kollection for PS4 and Xbox One? It was released for the previous console gen. If they wanted to update and add MK4, that'd be cool though. They removed MKAK from PSN and Xbox marketplace a couple years ago that people still can't find it them. Thy should release a MK Anniversary Kollection with 2D games include MK1, MK2, MK3, UMK3, MKT and Mythologies, and add 3D MK games include MK4, MK Gold, Deadly Alliance, Deception, Armageddon, Shaolin Monks, Special Forces for PS4 and Xbox One. Capcom did release Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection and they also put classic Capcom games on PSN and Xbox marketplace. Capcom did listen to the fans and they promised it for them and they finally did. Why can't NRS and WB? How disappointment these classic games are not being added to the backwards compatibility program. It's a shame on NRS and WB who took so long for years and didn't do nothing.
