Car ran very well. With a golf race is won in the 1st 2nd 3rd gears. Your launch during the first 2 runs were excellent. Love the video.

Not sure if this was commented before. The golf polo 6r has the same caps obviously with a 5 hole. One of the 5 caps is actually for a lock nut.

Amazing to see what this engine can do and how this build turned out. Work on your revs and find a sweet spot that suits you, especially in terms of shifting, will make a massive difference 👌🏼

For semi-slicks I would suggest Bridgestone potenza (195/50/R15). Got them for R1 650 each am pretty sure the toyo's are more expensive

That was leka that first run with the GTi as super impressive, also if you have ever gone to killarny your first time is super difficult because of the nerves i totally get that feeling, that SP Racers need some heat in them and not too hard had them on my sentra super grippy when it hooks.

Semi's are better than road tyres, but they need a lot of heat to become sticky. I would suggest much longer burn-outs or switch to full drag radial slick once the budget allows. You ran some good times! I'm also building a 2.0v itb setup, hopefully I can run a time at some point at Killarney once the car is in CPT! Kurt from Kimberley.

Well done. The Mk1 is running well. You should have stayed a bit later, the track conditions got better after 2pm. And the lights messed me up a few times as well.

Thanks bud. Wish I would have stayed, after hearing that. I saw a couple of your runs, the mk2 is sounding solid! But looked like it was struggling to get traction 🙆🏻‍♂️

The Stax doesn’t give you the lower end power...there is a some what lag. Running the standard airbox with a high performance flatbed filter is the best...(in my experience and opinion)
