Extremely underwhelming from someone whose one and only job is to act and showcase emotions. And yes, i get that she's not a voice actor, but arguably its alot easier to convey emotions that way since you can slightly overexaggerate or pour more emotions without risking looking dumb.

Jiangshi are Chinese vampires that are most notable for the talisman on their hat and how they often move is by jumping. Aside from the *obvious* elephant in the room with Megan as Nitara, it would've been cool if they played into more of her being a seductress. Imagine if she had the ability to manipulate peoples' emotions with their blood, so in the story mode she has a fight scene with Kung Lao, and when she cuts him, she starts to lure him in like the Mermaids from Pirates of the Caribbean before getting interrupted? You can't even lie, that would've made the community go crazy🤣🤣

They look down on it and don't take it seriously, and so she just mailed it in. It's just some kids video game after all(she was thinking I'm sure) and they prob didn't pay her a fraction of what she would get for any other kind of acting she does. They probably did it over the phone in a day, and she didn't even come in the studio

Wanna know something about the industry? It happens all the time in animation and video games. Sometimes it's just in the contract that they won't do an foley work, they just aren't good enough to supply those grunts convincingly or a company will simply re-use existing work or use from a sound library. Virtua Fighter and Tekken have been doing this for a very long time, both titles have been reusing voice clips and foley work since their 4th games each while recording new spoken dialogue.

(Call me weird for this take, or not, idc) Maegan fox as nitara kinda works for me, the whole "her voice acting sounds flat/sounds like she's bored" thing... kinda makes sense if you think about it, she (nitara) is dealing with people she sees as weak/below her, her sounding board kinds works in this regard, as she sees herself as above this kind of thing, so she'd logically be board with it. Yes i know the quality is bad, im just saying there is a possible in universe reason for it.

I grew up in Port Saint Lucie, Florida and am friends with people who went to school with her and one that dated her. She has *always* though way too highly of herself. I think they were scared people wouldnt guve enough promotion to this game and would forget to give it a rating cause its more fun to play it. So they decided to make nitara like this so that people would meme on it through the ratings therefore getting those high ratings. I mean this not significant enough to reduce a score........
