Sonicfox is not only a great player, but also a great entertainer. After watching some of his earlier matches of this tournament, I think he let loose a little bit a few games to make the fight more intense and longer for audience to enjoy (ofc I could be wrong and no disrespect to any other players at all here, all are great)

Nah you might be right. Ninja killa destroyed everyone else but all of a sudden sonic fox made it look so easy to beat Ninja despite his talent. Sonic had to have been holding back against others imo

@@soda-2690 in this match Sonicfox played Rain as a 'handicap' and went all out in the matches, previous he let loose to make it 2-2 and then wrap up with a very intense final match. Almost got punished for that in the match with Dyloch imo. I think that's cool. We spectators get to see more and enjoy what we see more

@@dontrah1838 when you block an attack the exact moment it connects , it makes it so that you don’t take any damage at all as apposed to regular blocking and taking chip damage

@@dontrah1838 a majority of the time its just the first hit you block , there are *some* strings in the game that you can flawless block multiple times but its risky to do so. in this case Ninja was flawless blocking projectiles while closing the distance between him and sonic. also flawless blocks can give you plus frames for a punish which is scary up close

Man is a living prodigy. Ninjakilla is the best you can be as a normal mk player but Sonic is one in a million. Conquered injustice, skullgirls, champed over even the dbfz best player, mkx, mk11 and now mk1 -- literally nothing to prove.

During the MKX Season, NinjaKilla was literally running through EVERYONE, including Sonic, ALL season. He was too young to compete on mainstage but all the pros played sets with him. Ninja would of won it all in MKX if he could of competed

Raiden is a great pick for Ninja too, super dominant and good knowledge/awareness with him. Can't wait for more from both pros. Great Blocks from Ninja as well he stays ready

The vortex move is a low. It sucks the opponent down and launches them into the air. The bubble just makes Rain immune to projectiles while he's in it.

Ninjakilla complaining non stop how broken raiden and Johnny are especially with cyrax. Calling them to be nerfed. Then gets beat in grand finals while using both of them. Ironic. All those hating on sonicfox. Can’t deny he is a good player. I must prefer to watch sonicfox’s channel as he is always laughing and being weird and joking around and taunting and having a good time. Can just tell he loves the games he plays. While ninjakilla I tried to be a fan and watch his streams on YT. But all he does is complain. Saying 100x over and over “bro what the” “bro he is so broken” “bro this game needs to change” “bro that character needs to be nerfed” anytime any pro-player he goes up against in ranked matches or KOTH hits him with moves and strings he didn’t see coming or couldn’t block or defend against. It’s just not as enjoyable of a channel to follow and watch compared to a guy who is laughing and loving it like a little kid on Christmas. Yes sonic is a weird guy and his personal life is his own to live how he wants (as I’ve seen in comments that’s why lots hate on him) But I can fully say sonic and ninja are just amazing fighting game players. Who are just great to see whenever they compete in tournaments like these. I hope to see them both in all major tournaments for mk 1.

I just can't help myself from comparing this to MKX. MK1 is not even close to being as entertaining as MKX was. Do y'all remember the MKX tournaments? Those were insanely entertaining! MK1 is still very repetative and too much like Injustice in style. Please NRS, bring back the playstyle of MKX!!
