The rules of any Mortal Kombat engine is that whenever a character gets hit during a grab animation, both players explode, usually leaving the attacking player with extra frame advantage which can lead to otherwise impossible combos.

It's a force delay get up and it's reactable. but you're plus regardless so it's good.

I did this combo with sub and continued the hits into the cage without letting the combo drop but it's pretty hard you gotta time the hits perfectly but it is possible

you can auto time the setup by jumping then inputting grab as you hit ground for the unscaled reset everytime

With frost it connects as a combo.

Delay wake up beats alot of these set ups across alot of characters, you can do this set up with scorpion too its really fun

If you're mid combo and use down kameo scorpion into close bone cage, the grab tech works the same as the sub zero grab tech but you don't need to EX the cage because of the scorpion pop up time

After you do the cage from the freeze do another F4, it will trap them in the cage.

It’s really not that broken to be honest considering how mid quan chi really is and you can just see this setup a male away and just delay get up

The timing for the throw is also very strict, which is another reason why they most likely won’t nerf it. It’s cool that it’s possible though.

if you read they gonna delay wakeup then you just delay the throw and the setup still works its basically a 50/50

I really hope they don’t nerf this lololo, I practiced this legit for 3 hours in the lab and I can do it (sometimes, not really rofl) perfectly now.

Delay wakeup beats it, Kitanas unblockable is definitely worse. She gets 50% into unblockable into 50%

Is there a difference in using 1 and 3 to grab rather than L1? I feel like i dont ever hit them at the same time and end up using different moves than grab.

There’s no difference, but if you’re playing on a game pad, the L1 shortcut may be easier for you as you can’t mess up the input. I’ve tested this combo setup on pad as well, and it works. 👍

I don’t think so, since unblockables are a natural part of Mortal Kombat’s engine. All they can really do is scale the damage since that’s the most ridiculous part.

Sub gives more health and projectile block can be useful given that he's better at range, and freeze gives you easier timing window for cage which is inconsistent imo

They're not going to patch it if you look at other characters like Liu Kang/ Kung Lao cameo or Reiko/Darrius, there are plenty of unblockables in the game that lead to full combo

If you’re quick enough haviks unblockable can get you a full combo, if they wanna delay the get up you do an arm rip and you get 2 hits of armor so they’re screwed either way

@@XxSYNDROISxX I agree but that’s personally why I like playing Havik. He’s a challenge and it’s fun. Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Raiden and Johnny aren’t as fun to me because they are pretty easy to play. Havik takes thought and patience

@@victormaru8587jump dosent work on this setup as neutral jump isn’t frame 1 and the prison will catch them even if it was

That doesn’t work buddy, after subzero u can even press frwd circle to put im in the cage without grabbing and timing but the problem is once they are in the cage they can f*cking block and that makse this set up completely useless

This does work, if timed correctly. Also, they cannot block after being put in the cage if you can perform this quick enough. It’s a very hard setup / combo. This also does a ton of damage since it doesn’t scale.
