And Raiden legit try to make a deal with Quan Chi by attempting to wage the Earthrealm souls to the sorcerer, and that soul include Liu Kang. Raiden already mess up at that point, as he was too desperate with the visions (not knowing it was Kronika's manipulation), almost becoming madness. His decision up till that point kills everyone. Of course Liu Kang will pissed, anyone will be pissed if you see your friends, lover and maybe even family die because of someone bad decisions. In the early of MK9 story, Liu Kang already concern about Raiden's visions, and he state he has faith that Raiden can overcome it, but Raiden keep saying "we must have faith in the Elder Gods" instead. Turn out in MK11, the Elder Gods is jerk, just a pawn for Kronika. MK11 did clarify that neither Raiden and Liu Kang is wrong since they were manipulate by Kronika, but Raiden did admit his mistake (he even say he was fool by himself) as he let himself vurnerable to be play by both Elder Gods and Kronika. If Raiden in MK9 listening and work together with Liu Kang instead of blindly trust the Elder Gods judgement, he might have sense some suspicious towards the Elder Gods already and could potentially break the Kronika's manipulation cycle early.

Skarlet is definately one of the most beautiful characters in the game, Her voice her character and even her look, It's a a shame she has no place in MK1

?? Raiden thought Lao was the true champion rather than Liu Kang due to his vague visions, so he had Kung Lao attempt to win the tournament, then got his neck snapped by Shao Khan. No one was really at fault there, Kung Lao was following orders and Raiden was doing his best to not repeat the original timeline.

Bruh, Raiden DID send him. The one where he warn Kung Lao was during the first tournament. In the second Outworld tournament, this is when Raiden indeed send Kung Lao to fight as he think if Kung Lao win instead of Liu Kang, the future will change. Turn out not, it even worst and Kung Lao end up dying

It's a new Geras, who is aware of the previous timeline before it was remade by Liu Kang. The one who fell into the Sea of Blood is, for all intents and purposes, no longer existent.

I think the problem is that because they listen to Raiden more so liu Kang then kung lao they're lives went to hell especially if you consider the og version of the timeline. Like liu Kang pretty much lost everything within the mk3 area of the new timeline

She was pretty broken in the previous timeline too. In Deception, she betrayed Sub-Zero and tried to steal the dragon amulet of the Lin Kuei, but it drove her crazy and she saw everyone else as Sub-Zero, killing a lot of her fellow Lin Kuei. Then in this one, she betrayed Sub-Zero because he destroyed Sektor and the cyber-initiative, something she is implied to have supported wholeheartedly, believing that refusing to "evolve" like this led to weakness. Ironically, her and MK1 Sub-Zero would agree on this one, since in his arcade ending, Bi-Han starts the Cyber Initiative to keep up with magic and superhuman opponents. I hope they'll give her a redemption story sometime. Given her dialogues with Robocop in 11 implying he tried to catch her and turn her back to good, it'd be interesting to have a cyborg Frost realise her ways and start respecting her old master. Granted, the fact Kuai Liang is now Scorpion muddles things. Hmmm. We'll see.

So in the story, there's this Kronika woman who's the Keeper of Time, she wants to essentially make a new timeline cuz the current one is ultra fucked.
