Hes got some good combos that are flashy as hell but I really enjoy his mixup variation I believe the 3rd one

Jeremy Bledsoe both 1 and 3 has mix ups. The one with command grab is 3, and it has more options for mix ups (I prefer 1st one, though, with guns)

Wafflez it’s called optimal damage, no point in doing something if it gives you less damage. In terms of launching, spawn has only one launching string, and in terms of combos, the way his launching move works only allows him to follow up with 2 things usually: jump 2 glide jump 2 into F2 DB3, or 2 4 into DB3. His launching move gets affected by gravity heavily, and the amount of strings spawn has to combo into/out of are pretty limited. Most of his buttons are too slow to be properly used in the middle of a combo

Misogii lol right. What I was asking is so this character has only ONE string for “optimal” damage. Tbh spawns gameplay is just so boring and disappointing for what I had expected for this character. All that hype for this... other characters have more than one string for or at least a couple ways to get optimal damage no?

Wafflez I mean if you mean strings to combo into he has a bunch. But most characters in most fighting games generally have pretty similar combo paths for max damage. That one launching string is used because it’s his best mid and it’s meter less. That string isn’t the highest damaging one either. It’s just guaranteed 30% if it hits. That’s how spawn is. You poke from long range with no hurtbox moves, and convert them into big damaging combos. A lot of people actually are really into his design and gameplay. But it seems you already have your mind made up and are deciding to be a incorrigible cunt about it. Take your negativity and fuck off.

Ig he's saying the neutral sucks in this game. Which is true bc not every character can anti air consistently. And in a game where jumping in is hella plus and can lead to alot of damage/mixup I say anti airs is very much needed. That's the only reason why grr was able to get in half the time

It is not safe to make the perfect lock all the time. Because spending 2 bars and the enemy can break with rupture and even sometimes there is no direct entry and you spend 2 bars on the fart. In any fighting game the anti-air must have priority before the jump attack, here in mk11 the kick jump is broken, it does not respect anti-air.
