@@TheDarkness4560 he can, but the F12 pushes the opponent too far away and it is the hard Knockdown, so you cannot continue the pressure with the Z Hat. If you want to set up the oki you will prefer to use the F4 as it doesn't push the opponent so far away thus you can dash up to throw or F4 into the combo

@@hoangoan5112 the F12 is only there that the opponent respects the 2 in the string and if he does you can go for throw, another F1 or if the opponent try's to counter poke you you can do a shimmy into F2 string for Krushing blow. It's just weird that foxy is the only Lao player that doesn't do that from Jackal you see that all the time. Ou and btw after F12 you can continue your pressure with teleport or just dash in and read your opponents movement:F1 if he stays on the ground or go with anti air or what ever as a lao player you have to be patient.

@@TheDarkness4560 I guess Foxy wants to use the Z Hat more that's why he doesn't use that move, as I remember watching his video on Twitch he said the F1 or F12 is too minus comparing to F4 is only -3, so he can do the Flawless Block or even poke back sometimes, while F1 or F12 make him lose his turn. The gameplan that you are showing is more suitable for Lotus Fist than Hat Tricks, I main Lotus Fist and I do the same sequences as what u've said

Kung Lao Firstly, his teleport is too bad, too slow, too easy to react with d1 or d2 or even jumping .. he has bad stuff sadly. No save combos, no mix ups, no zoning, no good med, slow teleport, all his combos begin with high hit except one and this one is unsafe.. That make me think other characters are better than him my be expect Devora. Kung Lao must be buffed. In my opinion.

@@alial-hakeem9465 I don't think kung Lao is that bad as you make him seem. Some people have him above liu kang or right behind him. Every move cant be good or he would be S-tier. But I do agree with you on his strings. He just needs is a lil' tweak.

Ali Al-hakeem Kung Lao is not that bad of a character at all, there are some really good Lao players out there and I’ve ran into them. His kit is not bad if you know how to utilize his frames correctly for matchups

@@lancewhocantdance You're not supposed to land it. Anyone can block it, you see your opponent doing something else and set up your next move while they're blocking it. It will pay dividends by making him block in other times when he thinks you're about to Z-hat (with the defensive meter fakeout).

It's really his only 50/50 if you know anything at all.

Well for 1, the teleport is easy to see coming, and for 2, you can literally counter it by down 2/3 or literally just moving away. It’s not worth the risk for the amount of damage it does.

You grab to condition people. You may not be an experienced fighter in NRS titles, but grabbing is necessary. The more you grab people, the greater the tendency to release the block button and press a button. Because of this, people are more likely to press a button allowing you to open them up when you walk up on them. This is called a "shimmy".

Jay Spacely do you play online or against bots? Bc you may be able to get away with maybe 1 or 2 teleports against players, but they’re are super predictable and can be punished by literally down 2. It’s a unsafe risk just for a little damage.

Real people my dude. Different characters play different. Nah I'm not sitting there at a stand still teleporting you gotta be clever with it. But people think all you suppose to do is vomit combos. Its several different ways to play this game contrary to popular belief. Lao is not a combo vomit character like a Scorpion, Jax, Liu Kang etc. You gotta be a lil more measured and a lil more calculated. I get the teleports off all the time online against real people
