I'm very happy to be brining you guys the second Sunday special this year! In this video me and Lauren head down to Southend seafront for a car meet hosted by SouthendModz, who are trying to bring back the car cruising culture after years of bad reputation and dispersal orders.
The meet itself was very busy, as you guys will see. With a wide range of cars stretching the whole length of the western esplanade, I knew that I needed to capture it for all you guys who didn't go. There was also lots of classic fords, I will always be biased toward recording them!

This takes me back to the days of going to Southend every other weekend in my 1.4 Fiesta Ghia and my XR2. Also spent plenty of time in my Orion Ghia and Escort GTI. Those were the days!

Good meet that! real variety of cars that turned out by the looks of it, Thanks for taking us along Mitch really enjoyed the footage bet the driver in the white Fez needed some new undies after nearly binning it though 😬

We don’t mind the car meets. We do mind Londoners coming dropping litter and complaining there isn’t enough ‘diverse’ food shops.

God there’s some absolute balloons at that meet. I don’t get why you have to rev the knackers off a car, getting it to pop and bang, surely if you have to do that the cars just not that special, also the hard accelerating and braking over a 20 meter length.🙄 just so glad there are still people there though that are proper car people.

@@Mk2Mitch I agree rather park up with the engine off & just go chat but it’s nothing new, people were doing the exact same stuff in the 90s and earlier with the revving, burnouts, handbrake turns etc

Wish we could wind the clock back and have the old car and bike meets every month 🤞 southend council have have screwed up the bloody lot and now the dispersal orders you can see where car and bike enthusiasts are not welcome 😡 add the extortionate parking fees and no more air show they deserve to go broke 🖕 southend was a fun place to go in my cortina days and was great the smell of castol R when we had RD 400s 😊 Southend is finished 😱
