2.0l duratec engine, When you try and start your car, but it turns over no problem but doesnt fire up. When you turn on your ignition and can't hear the hum or buzz from the fuel pump as its not priming the fuel ready to start. Give this a try. Potential easy fix. Just need a jack, small straight screwdriver, wd40 and a little bit of grease.

Well , thanks a lot, you saved some money, i have just started the car a few minutes ago, i only moved the wires and the plugs, i'll clean up the plugs later, when i'll get home. Thank's again for the hint!

I think i have the same problem. It starts and it goes dead right after. It only starts and set it self at idle only at the second or third start. I also check everithing on the car. Sensors and all msorts of crap, but this not. Thank you very mutch

i do have problem when is cold outside over night, only in the morning, but after i start it once in the morning all day is starting ok

Yes, a 2.0, i do have a P0683 and P068A error, but it may be because i crank it so many times that my battery died,now i have a new one. Sometime is starting în the morning sometime I need to crank it 2-5 times.... that only happens when it's cold outside, bellow 7°c, and once I start it all day is working fine, next morning repeat the problem. The wierd stuff is that it doesn't let me crank it more than 2 seconds, it stops automatically

Have you tried cleaning the cables at the fuel pump like in the video?

@TheAmko80 I didn't solved it and I didn't tried his solution, but I will. The wierd stuff is that today's morning when it was -4c it started from the first try, harder but it did... wierd

Hi, what symptoms did you have for not starting, when mine is hot it turns over and try’s to start but sounds like running on 3 cylinders takes a few seconds to start but once started runs perfectly. No problem when starting from cold.

I have same problem with my Mondeo. Starts and runs ok when cold but when it's warm it just won't start at all.
