Backtaps are so tricky! They activate randomly when you keep the phone say on a table or a hard surface!

The back tap idea is cool for like 5 minutes. Then whatever you mapped to it will randomly happen throughout the day.

I use the double tap and triple tap for Notification Centre and Control Centre - the two things you stretch your fingers the most for, everyday.

iPhone does power button commands, mine is set to make my phone black and white. It’s super useful for painting on the iPad or when you’re taking a photograph.

I’ve used the scan text thing on notes, but it’s kinda here and there so I just take a picture, copy the text from the image, then paste it in notes. Just works better for me.

When you hold the spacebar on the keyboard, and slide left or right. You move the little typing thing that shows you where typing. It’s better than just tapping trying to edit text

That back tap is going to be competing with crash detection to cause the most chaos while you're at Six Flags next summer. Those old wooden rollercoasters will have your camera flashing flipping on and off every 5 seconds.

This is the first time I have ever actually not known about some of the things on one of these lists. That two-finger slide trick is awesome! Here’s hoping I remember that it exists the next time I have an opportunity to use it. 😅 Back tap is cool, but for me at least, it’s completely undermined by inadvertent invocations.

i just found out if you have Gmail on your phone you can just scroll your profile pictures to change between accounts. 🤣 useful if you are using more than one gmail. 😂

I didn’t think this feature worked on older iPhones, but I tried it on the iPhone XS and it works like a dream 😊.

You don’t need to use two fingers to select, you can just click edit and drag one finger down where you select to select multiple items. That’s for everything too: emails, messages, photos, etc. 😊

Back tap has been buggy as hell for me. Randomly triggers itself, or I need to try the 2/3 taps over and over for it to work. I ended up turning it off after a couple of frustrating experiences.

Back tap has just changed everything for me.

Back tap feature I’ve been using from a long time! In the start, the Flash light just got switched on so frequently that I had to change the action to “turn off screen” 😂😂😂

I have used back tap for a while and I guess since I have a case it doesn’t work as well. It feels like it works about 50% of the time. Still a cool idea and convenient when it does work.

the scan text can be done anyone text can be inputted just by tapping like youre going to paste, hitting autofill then scan text. same thing can be done with passwords or a contact

A lot of these features are tweaks that used to be available only when jailbreaking your device. It’s nice to see them in the OS.

I knew you could tap "Edit" and then just one finger swipe to multi-select. But the two-finger select without "edit" I had no clue about all this time. Crazy useful especially for deleting mail I don't want. Thanks! The back tap feature I knew about but found it annoying and unreliable. Also knew about the scan text and use it for scanning a grocery list or to translate something in real-time. You can do this in the camera app also and have like almost an augmented reality "translator"

You can also use the automations/shortcuts feature to leverage the image to text feature to make a quick little shortcut that sends your wipeboard on your fridge with your grocery list directly to a checkbox list on your iPhone to use at the store or to send to a roommate, partner, wtc

This literally confirms for me what Ive been thinking that iOS is made for using with both hands. This example of two finger selecting can be extended with not having „back” gesture from both edges. And also many apps forces you to tap this little „go back” arrows on the top left corner, or small „select” button on top right etc. It just feels like is made to hold with one hand with precise tapping on small UI elementy with the other. Android is way batter with gestures and one-handed operation overall

I have whitepoint set to back tap so if it’s getting dark out and I want my phone generally dimmer, I just toggle the feature. By far my favorite accessibility feature I regularly use
