Maneater is a single player, open world action RPG where you are the shark. Experience the ultimate power fantasy as the apex predator of the seas a terrifying Shark! Starting as a small shark pup you are tasked with surviving the harsh world while eating your way up the ecosystem. To do this you will explore a large and varied open world encountering diverse enemies - both human and wildlife. Find the right resources and you can grow and evolve far beyond what nature intended, allowing the player to tailor the shark to their play style. This is fortunate, because to get revenge on the cruel fisherman that dismembered you will take evolving into a massive shark, an apex predator of legends. Eat. Explore. Evolve. Play through a full narrative, story-based campaign narrated by Chris Parnell and set against the backdrop of a reality TV show. 7 large regions including bayous of the gulf coast, resort beaches, industrial docks, the open ocean and more. Experience a living world with a full day/night cycle. I know this is a bit off topic but... When the 2015 Godzilla game was released, honestly, I was hoping for THIS. start off as something small and growth into something huge. customize yourself as you age and become a powerful force. explore the deep ocean and rampage through cities while fighting with other Kaijus If we get another Godzilla game soon, I hope it's Man Eater, but you're playing as a 500ft long, firing breathing dinosaur that can go up on land and knock over buildings

I gotta admit, I normally loathe things that demonize sharks... but in this the monster shark is basically a protagonist and the people have it coming. Nice spin on the genre.

Agreed. The human bosses are professional shark anglers who know damn well the harm they're causing to the ecosystem (one of them is just hunting sharks because he's salty about being discharged from the military), and one of the missions even involves eating shark fin exporters... yeah this shark taking them out is a little thing called *karma.*

Every time you level up, the shark gets a bit bigger. Passing 'life stages' makes the shark grow more. Pup-Teen-Adult-Elder-Mega

Me too, honestly. It's just minding his own business patrolling its territory (given its size, that apex mako was obviously old for its kind and had won dozens of dangerous fights) when some mutated bull shark comes along and challenges it and kills it for no reason. Rest in Peace, sultan of speed.

Because sharks don't make any sounds (they literally lack any organs that produce sounds like us, dolphins and other animals) and the devs had to give them something so dog noises it was.

I don’t understand why the developers added futuristic sounds to the game about sharks. And even more so, I can’t understand these bursts of energy around the shark while jumping from the water. It looks very dumb. Well, maybe it's not just a shark, but a cyborg shark, I don’t know.
