I like how the Armageddon scene turned into a huge Multiversal War fighting different variations of the kombatants. I was thinking the consequences about all of them from different eras and timelines fighting for control over it, like it would destroy reality.

The ending is basically them walking to the MK MUGEN community, looking them in the eyes, and telling them 'Even you are canon'.

Gotta be honest, when this scene showed, I was worried we were gonna have a repeat of the beginning of mk9 where everyone is dead, shao khan kills raiden and everything ends. Glad we got a different happier outcome. Love this story!

4 things: 1. The bad giys running down the stairs was hilarious 2. Those character mashups were the best thing MK has ever done. Lightning tanya, sub zero quanchi, sonya with kano's laser eye etc. Awesome idea 3. I'm surprised versions of characters from previous games werent here. Woulda been really cool seeing deadly alliance or deception versions of the characters 4. Story was cool but the finale was lacking pretty hard. Like it just felt really fast and didn't really have any big moments. Shang tsung could've at least had a much better death than just turning into sand again

When I saw 1:57 for the first time, because of the slight delay between Quan Chi walking out and the others following him, for a few moments I legit thought that the "hell" Shang Tsung unleashed on that entire army was just gonna be Quan Chi.

Seems like Liu Kang doesn't understand how his powers work or timelines work either because Lord Havik showing up after this battle and the timeline is still intact and he can walk around the aftermath of this battle shows these realms still exist even after a titan dies.

I gotta say, the expression animations done in this games' characters are top tier. Very expressive, lively and not at all stiff. One of the many complaints I had with Spider-Man 2.

If i was a mk character id be a mage, with a tendency to regenerate even after brutality. Power set: magic, all dark and light, mostly arcane-elemental-teleportation; players would likely favour ripping portals, there would be three types of players: the ones who aim for brutality vs me, the ones who main me, and the ones who wont even play against me. Its not that i cant be killed; its that i just dont stay dead, a special property of my mage powers. Im chaotic good, but tend to enjoy fighting to much and revel in my defeat, meaning each brutality shows me smiling and winking at the players ang giving my defeating player the finger.

So they’re all powerful Titans now and the best they could do was run up stairs when they can fly? Why are they just throwing punches?

It’s kinda stupid that this is supposed to be a huge timeline war when it’s just the same few characters copy and pasted. They should’ve at least had previous characters in the background like they did with the kombat kids

Ok so I'm gonna say this right here and right now. Mortal Kombat 1 story is a joke. It is slowly turning in to marvel cinematic universe, but here it is not the problem. The problem in MK1 story is the fact that, it started great but after the middle of the story, the rest of it is a mixed bag of shit. And ending is so f-cked up that, I rather eat half rotten apple than watch what they did. Like, from the start of the story I was thinking that finally we got a new story. But later, after half of it it felt like writers for MK1 story had brain fart and had nothing better to do than turn it in to a freaking mugen. If you don't know what mugen is, then for short: it's a free fighting game engine, where anyone can create their 2D fighting game. And if you want a mixed bag MK game then check mugen MK Chaotic New Era. Over billion of characters and half of them has nothing to do with MK. And that is how MK1 story felt mid story. Sure, not right away but still, it felt like a mixed bag of everything. Sure, the story is not the only problem that MK has, thus why I did not pre-ordered it. I watch the whole thing on youtube. Because, I'm not that rich to waste my money to left and right. I rather take care of my health than waste my money on the game, that has bad content, and that got cut in half, and rest of it's pieces gonna be released later. Like those 5 or 6 characters that is in the game and you can fight against them in the story, but they are not playable because they are DLC. And if you saw a Kombat Pack 1 DLC, then you know about who I'm talking about. So yeah, I'll wait until they release everything for the game and then get torrent edition for PC, as a protest against a bad gaming.
