The first stock of the first game really highlighted Joker's biggest weakness: Getting Arsene at the bad position, getting edgeguarded repeatedly until the threat of Arsene is no longer there

True, although cosmos definitely should have edge guarded with pyra when arsene is out. Mythra should be edge guarding base joker. It’s harder to hit/2 frame arsene effectively and get anything out of an edge guard with mythra, pyra can simply spike or back/forward air and kill joker in one hit. Mythra can do her up b on base joker (if joker has used a jump) and get a kill with a gimp.

Yeah Larry Lurr and also Vars covered this recently on his channel - Joker tends to get arsene in disadvantage often and gets further pushed into disadvantage if he's off ledge. Doesn't help that people are starting to adapt and find ways of camping out Arsene (and in general as a community getting better at edgeguarding)

I really miss seeing Leo's Joker on tournaments but tbh his Byleth/Corrin are more hype to watch (at least for me). And also that he feels more comfortable playing them.

Yeah I think Joker can be a bit stressful to play (same as Mythra) - so many buttons that you feel the "need" to press. (Leo himself says he prefers Pyra). On the other side Byleth/Corrin can play more reactive (given they're "slower") which seems to jive with Leo's style.

U can see a little bit of rust but he still claps with joker. Some ppl don't realize how precise of a character joker is. Which is maybe part of the reason he dropped him. But to pull off some of the things Leo has done rly speaks volumes of his ability as a player. Friendlies of not tho I still think watching his joker is so entertaining.
