Yoshi is lowkey crazy. His strength as a character sneaks up on people because he maxed out the survival stat and has great but floaty movement. It's not as noticeable as the offensive specialists and fast fallers.

Banjo needs to be very patient and attack when the opponent makes a mistake or be campy if Banjo can't find an opening. He's kinda like Sonic in a sense. In Banjo Tooie, boss fights are about running away from the bosses until they expose themselves. It also take about 6 mins to beat the Hag 1 in Banjo Tooie as well. Breegul Blaster can be used to pressure opponents. One trick I discovered is that Banjo can edge guard with nair, and if Shockspring jump isn't enough he can use Wonderwing to make it back on stage.

Comparing him to Ultimate Sonic (the most hated character overall) is just insulting. It's no wonder Ultimate Banjo also gets hate. He shouldn't just run away and spam grenade throws. This character needs a rework to be more accurate (and less campy). I love the Banjo-Tooie reference, but I don't think you can determine the campiness of a character based on a few boss fights. Plenty of aggressive characters have long boss battles, where you run away or wait to counterattack. It's just the nature of boss fights. Honestly, I don't think Banjo plays like himself in Smash. I always played him aggressively in his N64 games. I would rush down my enemies with ease. Meanwhile, d-air and dash attack feel weak, Breegull Blaster and f-tilt can't be used together, other egg types don't exist, Kazooie's jumps feel underwhelming, b-air feels wonky and non-intuitive, Flare Blitz/Wonderwing is used as a "recovery", and much more. It's like the developers never played his games. His playstyle shouldn't be a weird grenade-grabber who runs away. It's strange and uncanny, like they combined preexisting assets from other characters, instead of creating a brand-new character. I hope he comes back in the next game with a more accurate playstyle.

@@BBB-pe3ip The good news is that I was to use Banjo to beat mob Smash in precisely 2:06 mins, with Sonic being 2:11 mins. In other words mob smash represents characters fighting enemies in regular level while one on one fights represent boss fights. The harder the fight, the more represents the longer boss fights like the Hag 1. You see Banjo is a platforming character so comparing him to Terry, Hero, and Steve would be incorrect. It makes more sense to compare him Peach, Diddy, Dr Mario, and King DeDeDe. Especially since Banjo's low air speed makes it difficult for him to be aggressive.

Unfortunately for Leo, Ron isn’t going to either Delta or Kagaribi. Hurt has probably been the best Snake player since he came second at Delta 5, beating Miya and taking a set off Acola. Especially now, with AK in a slump and AlanDiss being unable to travel.

@@SN-gv9zw He was actually ranked globally last year, at 37th. The last time he was ranked globally in Ult was the second half of 2019 at 50th, which got a lot of people asking who he was at the time.

As a Yoshi/Cloud player, I approve this video 😂. I've been saying Leo should pick up Cloud. He counters yoshi, and does well against a lot of his weaknesses with the rest of his characters.

As a Yoshi main, cloud isn't super bad. Honestly the only character I think really makes Yoshi suffer is Samus. If Yoshi plays grounded Palu is very doable, samus just.... sucks lol

As a Yoshi main, Cloud is definitely not the worst match-up. I personally wouldn't even call it unfavorable. Eggs are really strong against Cloud, especially off-stage, down tilt kills at almost any percent because of how horizontal the angle is, and Yoshi is able to get out of the air against Cloud pretty easy. Off the top of my head, the worst matchups I can think of are Bayonetta, Incineroar, and Byleth.

Leo needs to change his concept of Smash. The game isn’t won in neutral anymore. Spacing and having good “fundies” isn’t what Ultimate is about. To be good at Ultimate, your punish game needs to be absurd, and you need to have multiple set play scenarios ready. Also you need to play online. Please Leo, erase that “Online” sucks mindset. Online is the training room for ultimate.

Japan has smashmate and I think the US had smash ladder or anthers ladder? The problem is that the "online is bad & laggy" stigma will never fully disappear. I agree with the comment though. Any kind of practice is good practice. And players should keep grinding and challenging themselves with tougher opponents if they want to rise to the top. You'll get much better at a much quicker pace if you grind online with Smash Bros Discord servers.

It’s telling how the top 2 players in both Japan and NA spend a lot of time grinding online. Spargo and Sonix consistently attend Coinbox, while Acola and Miya are both at the top of Smashmate.

Maleo deserved that ass whoopin from Toriguri for saying that sonic is cooler than Banjo. 😂 Don’t get me wrong, Banjo is lame but Toriguris Banjo isn’t. I’d rather watch top level Banjo than top level sonic. Sonic can be cool sometimes when Sonix plays but those moments are rare.

The toxicity of the Smash community in the US is incredible. This guy took a 3-0 against TG´s Banjo and STILL y´all calling Banjo ass. Like give the character a chance man, maybe is not as bad as everyone says he is and you do not have the pacience TG had with this character. "you do not play online so you do not know how Banjo works" is the lamest excuse from this conversation, since TG does NOT spam shit like "top Banjo players" does online, and I am saying this as a Banjo main. This character is maybe the lowest high tier for sure, but by any meance is low tier or even bottom tier

Leo definitely got matchup checked by TG. TG struggles a lot against Gorioka, and even Lemmon did better against TG than Leo, because Gorioka was playing friendlies with him and made sure to get his advice translated. TG is a good player because he still gets consistent results in his region where he isn’t matchup checking everyone.
