It’s nice to see all the strikeouts not just two or three of them

Roger Clemens was my favorite pitcher growing up. I remember trying to emulate his windup and delivery, would practice it for 2-3 hours a day after school til I was about 14 and my coach told me to cut the B.S. and throw the ball like me not Rocket. Guess he was tired of watching me nail batters and throw 2 walks an inning. On a side note I always thought Kerry Wood was very reminiscent of Clemens going off his pitching style and demeanor.

Woods game is the dominate game ever performed and it was a no hitter. E-5!!!!

Grrrrrrrr...it's 2001, it's May, extra inning complete games are still a thing, the pennant race hasn't started yet...let Randy pitch the 10th inning!

Scherzer's might be the most forgettable one out of all of them. Had no idea it even happened til a couple years ago

Was that a sinker Wood was throwing?
@raymond38034 жыл бұрын
middle 4 were "Change-up sinking curves". Last pitch was a full speed regular curve that looked like a whiffel ball. Had to move at least 16 inches. Probably 18. Wood had the best catcher IMO.

so many bad strike calls lol. No one will ever get 20 again with how everyone can analyze the calls now days and call them out on it.

The only thing stopping someone from getting 20 k in a game is load management. Umpires aren’t any better today than they were when Scherzer hit 20
@crimsontide19804 ай бұрын
@pisspratt9002 Exactly this! We will never see 20K's a game because coaches rarely let their starters go past the 6th inning And I get it, with all the arm injuries happening these days it's more important to keep pitchers healthy for the long haul rather than get a no hitter throwing 140 pitches and not being the same afterwards. There will never be another Nolan Ryan who can throw 150+ pitches and go back out there and do it again 3 days later. I also don't think we will ever see another 250+ win pitcher again. The golden standard will have to be lowered for HOF inductees, maybe to 150 wins?
