In game between the Los Angeles Angels and the Cleveland Guardians on September 12, 2022, both Guardians manager Terry Francona and Angels manager Phil Nevin were ejected from the same game, without a pitch being thrown.

I was at the game, and nobody knew what happened. Francona and Nevin both went ballistic. It was so bizarre.

He'll see sooner or later his days of exercising his phrase he can do whatever he wants is coming to an end. Because eventually they are going to do away with physical umpires. And is going to be replaced by computer umpiring. So these big mouth egotistical umpires who think they're big shit. They're gravy training riding days are coming to an end..

That wasn't the first time Tito got into it with Ron Kulpa. He had a similar meltdown with him in 2015.

Near as I can tell, Tito clearly asked for a challenge and the home plate ump missed it. Tito got pissed and got rung up. Then the ump wouldn't let Tepera throw a warm up pitch or two (is this a pitch clock issue that doesn't allow it ????) This pissed off the Angel's ump, so he got tossed.

I remember that game. The ball bounced sideways after hitting his foot - they showed several different takes. You're as blind as Kulpa; well I guess probably not or you wouldn't have been able to watch this clip. The G's won anyway and Kulpa had to leave in the 9th after taking a foul off his mask.

Francona should have just let it go; it was a borderline call, and he acted like his player took one to the head. Nevin? That makes even less sense. And running both of them at once? SMDH

It wasn't the call that set Francona off. He went off because the umpire lied. Giminez clearly stepped out of the box, and Francona clearly signaled for a review, and the umpire said that neither happened.
