After 24 years of watching baseball. Being a season ticket holder for the last 6. Watching about 4,000 games both on Tv and live over those years... I still don't know what a balk is.

@@henrydeshon8286 Throwing to the first baseman isn't the same as throwing to the base. The rule is worded pretty specifically to avoid a situation where a position player might try and sneak up behind a runner and take a snap throw while he has a lead.
