Here's the reality all you Trevor lovers. If he was worth it, he'd be signed. The main objective for any MLB is to win, they must weigh the problems and the media nightmares he brings to the table. And guess what? he's not worth the headaches. Get over it.

I think it's less the MLB canceling him and more the team owners and players saying he's not worth the negative fallout or bad reputation he brings. I mean, if the Oakland A's didn't pick him up when he was super-cheap (pre-Japan), no team is going to want to risk it. It hurts team promotional deals, marketing, branding, community reputation, etc. For instance, the Dodgers would never re-sign him, especially now that they have Ohtani, simply because Ohtani's people wouldn't want him answering questions about Bauer as they'd fear it might impact on Ohtani's reputation and earnings. So yeah, Bauer's probably done in the MLB, but it's coming more from the team management and player leadership groups worried about protecting their own investments than anything else.

Bauer is black-listed in the MLB. He should go back to Japan for at least another year. He was immensely popular there. His immature and eccentric antics weren't noticed there. He should focus on getting another one-year contract in Japan and hope that at least one MLB club will give him a chance for the 2025 season. My hunch is that at least one team will give him a chance by then, provided that Bauer behaves well in Japan for one more year.
