quick theory. so hawkmoth akumatized adrien so his cataclysm could be used on repeat. not control it by disks and orbs. what if chat noir can actually control his cataclysm like that but he just doesnt know it yet. we have no clue how far in the future chat blanc is living. it could be months after he was akumatized. also maybe adrien only figured out that skill when he became chat blanc because he didnt need to retransform and detransform over and over again.
