Theirs a theory that goes as lila is Marinettes half-sister Lila's dad is Tom, but Tom is unfaithful to Lila's mom. He cheats on Lila's mom, and they get divorced. He meets a woman named Sabine who has also just gone through divorce, and Tom realizes what he did wrong. Sabine and Tom start dating and marry, but Sabine is pregnant with her previous husband's child. Then he met Sabine and married her and eventually gave birth to Marintte and Lila's mum, as a single mother gave birth to Lila. All from google, it kinda makes sense, though.
