this means that we won’t be able to use the 99s we grinded all season to get but for only 3 weeks max then it’s back to live series being the best cards in the game. IMO season sets whatever they want to call them have to go bc the way they produce content can’t keep up with the demands of seasons especially captain cards they were a good idea but the execution is absolutely atrocious bc of the seasons they were literally irrelevant until the last season where you could use anyone you wanted which is always when the least amount of player play the game So far from what I’ve seen 24 is not fixing any of the problems with 23 and I’m personally going to skip an mlb the show for the first time since 18

@@KirbysFakePuntI mean u can there’s 4 wild card slots. But the entire issue of y 23 was boring was bc u could keep the same exact team for like 4 months bc they would send out 99s at the beginning u get them then have nothing else for 3.5 months

@@jackhumbach9086 yeah but unless they completely overhaul the way they produce content there is no way to keep up with the demand of 99 overall players especially since AL and NL collection rewards are not 99s this year. I hope it’s a typo but they said the highest overalls on launch will be 91s besides ONE exception the recycled lives series collection 99 Willie mays. So that means that content is pretty exclusively going to rely on the 3 week team affinity since every thing else is pre set IE ranked program Br program and the XP program they can’t get better until team affinity does Which was the same problem we had in 23 the reason the content didn’t progress is bc team affinity kept giving crappy 97 overalls until finest came out so since there wasn’t more 99s in the game which was the only way to balance out the sets and seasons they would do one big drop then leave it alone for 60 days which is essentially what they are doing again just instead of 60 it will be 21 which solves the slow pace but it speeds it up way to quickly for casual players. The reason a power creep works regularly is bc your players don’t get taken from you and they aren’t on a strict deadline to be put in the game. The only way to fix it is to produce an insane amount of content like instead of a headliner every Tuesday and Friday they would need at least an entire program. Also the deadlines they put out are terrible. The average player can’t play every single day which means that they have to play catch up suppose 99s come out on Friday I have Friday night Saturday and Sunday to unlock the 99s then the next time I can really sit down and play with them almost half of their timeline is gone and I have to grind halfway into S2 to get to use them again by that time I’m about to be lapped again. The power creep isn’t natural because of the time allowed which is going to heavily favor people who can get on everyday and casual players like myself will be at heavy disadvantages team the entire year. I understand the game always will be favorable to the players who can play it more often I’m not saying that’s a bad thing but the way it’s set up this year there isn’t anyway for me to keep up with everyone else so personally I’m skipping until they get rid of set and seasons.

@@KirbysFakePunt I’m not a casual player but normally other than those insane team affinities from last year or extreme programs I can pretty easily bang out a program in like 2 hours so say u can play 6 hours a week u will have plenty of time to do everything

I've been playing 23...and I never played diamond dynasty before ..but I think it's cool that most cards are already unlocked. I still earn packs. But it's not a big grind. And it's fun to build a team, and find your guys...it's way better then I expected. I thought everyone having 99s would make the game stupid. But it's actually mostly low scoring games. I've played a lot. And I was thinking about getting 24...but I don't see the point. I'd be doing the same thing, only a much bigger struggle. Ultimately I just wanna build a team of players I want and have fun playing online...and since I never played diamond dynasty, I don't really know how it works from day 1. I still have to unlock stuff...but I basically have the team I like assembled. And I'll mix up my lineup occasionally. But I like building a team, and using the same guys I like and getting good with that team...I don't really see any advantage to jumping into 24. I got the game for my switch last year. And played a little franchise. But it was til a couple weeks ago I got it back out. And decided to try dynasty. I've been hooked on it. And i really considered 24, but I mean it's baseball. And I have my team and the ability to change it up. And compete online. It's a lot of fun. And I really think I would kill my fun if I switched to 24.....that's just my perspective on it. Maybe you should try 23. And step away from the race of chasing down all the bullshit. I mean I understand that's fun. I play Madden ultimate team ..but I also understand the grind and how ultimately, you just want the players you want to take online. It's way more fun than I expected.

I guess what I mean, is I spent a lot of time on Madden grinding... doing bullshit challenges to unlock cards...when ultimately what I want , is to get the guys I want and play online against people...and playing show 23, the cards are available. I still have to get packs and all that. But I've built a solid team. And I adjust here and there . And I don't use all the best guys. I just use players I like. And I don't have to really grind and do all the shit. .I had fun doing that in Madden, but you realize you spend a lot of time just chasing shit for no reason. When ultimately I just wanna play the game. The chase becomes the addiction....it's actually nice to have all the cards available. Now I can focus on getting better with the team I built. Instead of chasing shit doing challenges I dont wanna do.

No, it isn't. The whole grind 99 thing is that you grind for 99's. That's what this is. You grind hard to eventually get 99's. That's a good thing. You should be able to grind instead of spending money to get 99's

@@JordanRunge14 yes it is the whole grind 99 thing was instituted last year meaning they would have full 99 squads available from day 1 FYI since you seem confused that is now gone the overall will increase as the year goes on

@@JordanRunge14 the show has always been good about letting players earn good cards unlike other games but they added grind 99 last year because it was going to be a “grind” to get them but it turned out being full 99 squads basically day one which wasn’t how they initially described it
