Imagine playing baseball your whole life, making it to the big leagues, and then one day forgetting how the force out at first works and trying to run down a dude down the baseline back to home plate and on top of it all, letting a run score. 😂😂😂😂😂

2:53 I think I saw this before. 2 out at time of pitch? If so, that's a stupid play by 1st baseman, who should have run the other way, to 1st base with the ball, to end that half-inning and, by rule, disallow the run scoring from 3rd. Notice the case of umpire signaling that the runner from 3rd is safe at home; unusual in that it signals physically safe at a time when it was still possible to nullify that run, a possibility that was erased when the batter touched 1st base.

Not with all these new rules. Also, MLB will never be able to compete with the NFL, ever. The only time people get excited about baseball is: 1. Their team is in the playoffs 2. They are the Yankees 3. See number 1 The NFL has 114.4 million viewers over 17 games, not including the playoffs. The MLB has 31 million viewers over 162 games, not including the playoffs.

A foul tip is not a foul ball. A foul ball is never a foul tip. A foul ball is a dead ball. A foul tip is a live ball. A ball that barely touches the bat and goes into foul territory and is not caught is a foul ball. It is not a foul tip..
@dhoyda7 ай бұрын
A foul tip must be caught by the catcher; the rules consider a foul tip to be equivalent to a strike where the batter misses the ball entirely. I was trying to figure out why the clip at 1:28 was included as it is just a foul ball; not sure why the batter tried to run to first base.
@truckfump-no457 ай бұрын
@@dhoyda the term foul tip means a ball that goes directly from the bat to the glove and his caught. So. To say a foul tip is caught by the catcher is kind of a weird phrase as I said foul tip is a ball that is caught by the catcher?
