Best part about the DBacks one is it was all done with 2 outs. And if the pitcher would have hustled to first base on that initial first hit, none of it would’ve ever happened. Game would’ve been over

Definitely one of the most improbable comebacks out there, especially considering it was in extra innings instead of the 9th!

I went to a game way back in '94 in which the Braves scored 7 in bottom of the 9th to tie against the Phillies 8-8. They eventually won it in the 15th on a squeeze play that went over the 3rd baseman's head. The funniest part of that comeback was John Kruk being put in the game late at first base, and one of the line drive hits during the rally barely went over his glove. Kruk is 5'10", the guy he subbed in for was 6'5".

Never leave a game early. No matter what sport. You never know what you might miss. It might be an amazing catch, touchdown, goal, etc. However, in baseball, there is ALWAYS a chance for a comeback, seeing how ending games is based on objectives, not time...

For all you youngsters out there, here's one...in 1909, the Philadelphia (now Oakland) Athletics were down 7-1 to the New York Highlanders (now Yankees) in the bottom of the 9th. The A's scored a record 13 runs (now since broken I think) and won the game 13-7. Also I think the Red Sox did something similar back in the early 1940s against the St Louis Browns (now Baltimore Orioles). Seeing comebacks like this make my heart bleed because it shows a meltdown of your opponent. Awesome video.

20 years later in the 1929 World Series Game 4. The A's were trailing the Cubs 8-0 and then scored 10 runs in the seventh, highlighted by a Mule Haas inside-the-park homer that Hack Wilson lost in the sun to win the game 10-8. The A's won the World Series in Game 5 two days later (The game was played on a Saturday and Sunday Baseball was banned in Pennsylvania until 1935 so the game had to wait until Monday).

For a part two you should do the game where the Red Sox we’re down 5-2 to the Yankees in the bottom of the ninth and the Yankees missed 2 easy plays to give aup a home run to Hanley Ramirez. A video idea is to have back and forth games, such as the game in which Austin Jackson made the catch of the year and Christian Vazquez hit a walk off home run.

Question: At 5:39, a Red Sox batter drives in the winning run. The fielder never bothers to get the ball, which was still in the field of play. How is that scored for the batter? - A single, because that's all that was needed? An inside-the-park home run, because they never stopped him from running? Or do they use judgment and say he could have gotten to second? (Perhaps the answer is in the final score. I believe they would say the Red Sox just won by 1 run, so that might imply that the hit was counted as only a single.) Thanks.
