I grew up watching Koufax, Drysdale and Sutton who dominated the majors at the time - this pitcher is the best I've ever seen, it took Koufax years to get to this level. He's a natural and an artist with a full palette.

I'm a Cubs fan and I'm scared. This dude's the real deal. If he can become more efficient, he's the best pitcher in baseball. I see his stuff. I see the movement. All he needs is the command. When he finds that, he's going to be impossible to hit.

As an LSU fan, I watched Skeen’s dominate in college. He helped win us a National Title. I’m glad to see he’s carrying it over into the big leagues. I’m might just become a Pirates fan

What's so impressive is we are fully in the "data era". Every team has a million video and data analysts that they can give info to coaches and players. You'll see a pitcher have 2 - 4 games where they're pretty good but then tail off because everyone has done their homework and figured out some stuff. Skenes hasn't tailed off. Part of it is just 100+mph lol

I usually hate on the fact that pitchers have an advantage in baseball. I was happy for Strasbourg during his debut and was a fan a long time. That being said. Paul Skenes is just not fair... Might as well just intentionally strike yourself out and save the time.

Naturally, the season Detroit has 3 Cy Young candidates, someone better comes along. If Skenes keeps doing even half of what he's started, he should win hands down. Sample size may be the only factor against him.

The starting rotation is one guy away from being very dangerous. What are you talking about. Glasgow is up and down. So is Cole. Glasnow sucked for pirates. Keller, skenes, Jones, preister, maybe oviedo, maybe Ortiz, will be a very good rotation. Just relax. The pirates are finally showing signs of being serious. Bringing cutch back, locking in Keller and reynalds. They are showing with actions they want to win this year. It's up to the guys to play now.
