Lorenzen is such a strong addition to our starting rotation. The dude is a workshorse... 95mph in the 9th inning with 115+ pitches under his belt is something to be respected!

Man I remember Lorenzen hitting a HR years ago as a relief pitcher in a game after his father passed away a couple days before. That brought tears to my eyes. Now he’s doing this here in Philly. What an emotional night for him. Couldn’t be happier for him.

Rob Thomson said after the game that he allowed it because the Phillies’s schedule already happened to line up perfectly to give Lorenzen a longer rest period than usual.

Not a no-no he had 4 walks. A no-no is like kershaws, no hits, no walks, there was a throwing error to prevent the perfect game

I would say that's his second best moment following the home run he hit following his father's death. Hard to up end a no hitter, but I would say that home run had so much emotion.

This gave me chills and I’m a Braves fan. You love to see stuff like this no matter what team it’s happening to. Except maybe the Mets lol. I’m so happy for this dude what an incredible story. He’s clearly already been accepted into that clubhouse with how Turner and those guys were already running onto the field to congratulate him before Rojas even caught it. Baseball is special

@@rayrussell6258that was the last no hitter thrown at home. Hamels had the no hitter away as was the combined no hitter the year prior. This cut them actually showing all the no hitters in franchise history. They were in 2014 and 2015.

I remember years ago when Lorenzen was a young pitcher in Pensacola the other team walked the 8 hitter to load the bases to pitch him. He fouls off 2 nasty pitches and the catcher says to him " Are you a hitter? " Michael says yep and hits the next pitch 400 feet into the bay for a grand slam. Proud of you Michael.

I was not prepared to cry through an ENTIRE baseball game lol. Congrats to the Phillies on their no hitter from an Astros fan, a no-hitter is always amazing to see, even when it's not your own team. Lorenzen had the best start he could have had in his first game on the Phils, and if their team keeps playing like this, they could start to play their best at the end of the season and in the postseason. As an Angels fan, I really miss Michael. He performed at a good level as a back end of the rotation kind of pitcher the year he was with us, and it's a shame that the Angels didn't want to guarantee him a starting role. He's from Anaheim too. Either way, congrats Michael! So happy for him, he deserves it. Might just start rooting for the Phillies this year, given the way the Angels have performed since going all in :(

Sherzer and Verlander went to the Rangers , and Astros , Lance Lynn to the Dodgers , Giolito to the Angels ...........but guess who got the pick-of-the-litter ? Props to Dombroski for getting Lorenzen ........Last nights game was an absolute keeper ........and that the Wilson and Lorenzen families were in the stands ......incredible . !!!

I hate that his mom and wife are watching thru their phones. this is obviously going to be all over the internet and youtube, just watch it there. We all know youre there.... idk im just sick of seeing it, enjoy the moment thru your eyes and not your phone.

Some people just don't think. They go out and ruin their experience by bringing out their phone and filming the whole thing instead of being in the moment and actually enjoying things. It's honestly sad how common it is these days.

How can you be in the moment on your phone? Looking at your phone to make sure you get a good shot when you could just look ahead and see it live. You are never in the moment when you're on your phone. Plus there's no reason to film a damn MLB game, it's not like there won't be footage. It's disappointing how many people refuse to live the moment so they can rewatch that moment on their phones. Just live, not everything has to be recorded. Especially when it's already being recorded.

@@somerandomguy5977 You are welcome to your views. From my perspective, Both his mother and wife look very invested and involved with the game, probably more than any other fan there. For me, as a mother, watching her was very emotional. For their personal reasons, they wanted their own memories. She was a very proud mother, and the moment more poignant that his father could not be part of it. Best regards…
