Soy Mexicano, pero el equipo de Japon estava lleno de super estrellas. Fue un honor perder contra Japon. Tienen el mejor judagor de todos los tiempos, en Ohtani. それはちょっとイタリアに失礼だと思うんですけど、やっぱりメキシコは手ごわかったです。グループ予選でアメリカに勝っただけのことはある、と思いました。試合終了の瞬間、日本チームがベンチから飛び出してきて「わーーーーー！！」したのももっともです。元のコメントをなんとか英語訳してみました Mexico was so mighty to despair for me. The teams up to quarter-final were tough, The opponents of Semi-final and Grand-final were surely exceptional. I think it was impolite to Italy, but surely Mexico was very tough. I think Mexico deserves that beat USA in pool C.

Team Mexico was great! I was watching the game with my Mexican wife here in Japan. She was so sad when Team Mexico lost the game but she also congratulated me right after the game. Mexico and Japan are very good friends. I respect Team Mexico and the country of Mexico. Amo mucho a Mexico!

Actually, Japan and Mexico were not supposed to fight. Fearing that if they lost to Japan, they would not be able to make it to the finals, the United States changed the schedule and pitted Japan against Mexico.

I won’t lie, this game made me a little emotional. The result was heartbreaking but this was an incredible baseball game! If Mexico was going to go out, I want them to go out fighting! 🇲🇽 Mexico had an incredible WBC run and made me proud to be a Mexican! 🇲🇽 Congratulations Japan! You deserve it 🇯🇵 Games like these are what make the WBC special and I don’t understand how anyone could possibly dislike this event! Baseball won today! One more game to go and after that, we’ll have to wait 3 more years for moments like these… Can’t wait for USA vs Japan!!

Honestly this felt more like the finals than the one where Japan vs USA especially when their better pitchers didn't play. What game and for Ohtani to win it with a walk off from Murakami's hit. Will see this more often now that he's on the Dodgers with MVP teammates.

This game is probably the best baseball game I've ever seen. I don't remember a game where I screamed so hard that my throat was crushed. This match will be a story that will be told for decades to come. It was a great match. Congratulations to Representation from Japan

I can say both everyone got very stressed about it, the techniques of Japan where incredible and precise, and Arozarena basically blocked possibilities of a home run from Japan, both teams did an incredible job.

Wow! That's one of the bestest baseball games I've ever seen and I've been watching MLB for 40 years. Why? Because of the passion (passion = suffering) and joy. I even liked the Mexican outfielder dropping a pose after robbing that homer. This tournament needs more attention in America. Just like World Cup soccer.

Como dominicano, al ver el juego pequeño de Japón, el movimiento de bases, el impulso de carreras en situaciones incómodas y la paciencia de colocar jugadores en base, me hace confirmar la idea de que el manager escogido por el equipo dominicano en este WBC, definitivamente no cumplió las expectativas de una Copa Mundial. Mexico y Japón demostraron cómo una selección nacional repleta de profesionales y MLB, debe jugar el juego: de la manera correcta y con pasión. Gambare, Nippon.

this was a remarkable win; both teams deserved to advance 🇯🇵 🇲🇽 one thing, however; Arozarena and a few others for mexico seemed a bit cocky all night- while the japanese remained composed; you can be up 3-0 in the 7th inning and display your confidence and feel you have it in the bag but don’t underestimate the opponent and remain humble; celebrate when the battle has been won. thank god for baseball. greetings from quebec 👋🏻
