My name is Thomas Nixon. My cousin is reverend E.D. Nixon. He was the organizer of the Montgomery bus boycott. My grandmother told me a lot about those times as she lived through it. She also knew Rosa Parks.

The history of the past was not all happiness and fun times. Times like this were also a huge part of our history as well. As sad as it was and is still in some places. Think you Jordan for doing a vlog about something that most wouldn't vlog. Keep up the good work and stay true to yourself.

What a moving vlog and touching tribute. Difficult to find words to express the feelings you captured in this vlog today. What an inspiring vlog. It showed the indomitability of the human spirit and the perseverance of the human soul. A time in history that should never be forgotten. The statues truly illustrate and capture those moments in history and what is lost when hate consumes the mind and overrules the heart. What an incredible vlog today, and done with such reverence and respect. Thank you so much Jordan.

Jordan, thank you so much for doing this much needed vlog. I remember my grade school in Missouri desegregating when I was in second grade. Some lasting friendships were made that wouldn’t have happened had this not taken place. It saddens and grieves my heart to remember our nation’s history. Your sensitive narration of these horrible times is just perfect. I would love to visit this museum and the church some day.

🦁 Jordan, BRAVO again, for this vlog! 👏👍👏 In college, I did two speech presentations on Martin Luther King’s famous “I Have A Dream Speech” and the other was about Harriet Tubman. The vicious dog artwork is profound. The Artist captured his artwork’s intention to remind those of the fear that the protestor’s endured due to the attack dogs. As a Nurse and Human Being, I do NOT look at people due to the color of their skin, sexual orientation or preference or their group affiliation...We ALL bleed the same color. Treat people with respect and dignity. We NEED more kindness in the World. Another, GREAT vlog 🦁 Jordan. Give 🐒 Jah some belly rubs for me.

I was honored to be at the dedication of the MLK, Jr. Statue in Kelly Ingram Park in 1988. I was a young woman working my first job. The civil rights institute had not been built and I took several photos of the event that day. I was at the dedication of the Civil Rights Institute and have recorded many events at the 16th Street Baptist Church including the 50 Years Forward tribute that happened in 2013. That was when the 4 Spirits statue was dedicated. I met and interviewed Rev. Shuttlesworth many times. The two boys that were killed in 63 were at different parts of the city. One was close to Sloss Furnaces the other was more in the country west of Birmingham in a town called Docena. Lots of history and stories about people in Birmingham.

Birmingham Civil Rights - Vlog Jordan the Lion, What a fantastic vlog and yes, you are right... a wonderful museum, beautiful, somber and honest tribute to Martin Luther King and other African Americans killed for fighting for their human rights. MLK, a great man who made an important impact on America by fighting for human rights. I wish Martin Luther King was alive today. I read your comments from this You Tube vlog and the wonderful comments and tribute by the viewers/Patreons heartfelt tribute to your work here that cannot be duplicated or stated any better. I think this is an award winner and I know that is not why you vlog, to win awards, you are not a documentarian, and you vlog what interests you nevertheless; Sir, you have taken me to a place I never would have seen, you have taken all to a place that needs to be seen. Your delivery was perfect showing an ugly deplorable part of history and events that are still taking place in present America. Bless you, the abused African Americans, the ancestors of African Americans and all those who suffered living through any prejudice in history and in present times.

I'm so glad someone has made a memorial for them, and that you were able to show it to us all. We must never forget how it was, and never let it happen again. After seeing things like that, I feel ashamed to be white, just like when you showed us the concentration camps of Hitler's, I felt ashamed to be human! Why do people act so atrocious? There are idiots still bombing and shooting people for their "causes", and all it brings is death and heartache. When will they learn? Give Peace a chance to work.
