After hearing everyone reference Groundhog Day and Inception (still need to watch that movie), I finally figured out what this episode is referencing. It's the episode "Don't go to sleep" from Goosebumps. Seriously, it got the same theme of a kid's insecurities with the future and the same dream-within-a-dream setup. Except that the ending is a lot crueler (like pretty much every Goosebump episodes). They seriously ramped up the surreal imagery. I like dream sequence in animated series (just to get a glimpse in a character's psyche). And out of all the dream episodes, this one is the best (in my opinion). And you're right about Reboot. They actually went through 4 voice actors for Enzo (although one did come back to voice another character). On to the next one.

I love this episode so much. For one it's a CMC episode and a luna dream episode. I love that we get a lullaby sung by Applejack. Each of the nightmares Applebloom is one of her fears. I wonder if the Twittermites are real or Applebloom dreamt them up. I knew it was a dream but almost thought it wasn't when the first dream went on so long. Even though I haven't seen it this episode reminded me of Groundhog Day. It also reminds me of the fan game Story of the Blanks. I think Luna's job before becoming Nightmare Moon was to help ponies with their nightmares and is just starting to help more than one pony at a time. Also the CMC's dreams show that they subconsciously know what their talents are but are just afraid to fail. Also Babs is good at cutting because she is a city pony. And what was with the weird dolphin cutie mark? And what episode is the longest Big Mac's voice actor has spoken Applebuck Season, Ponyville Confidential, Filli Vanilli or this one And Vinyl and Octavia FTW I ship them so much8DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD. Last thing I think this was a great lesson.

I was thinking the CMC get their cutie marks together in the last episode. Maybe Starlight makes a return, but her magic doesn't work on people without cutie marks, hence the CMC saving the day. And in the process, they use their talents, and discover themselves there.

This episode was exhausting. I felt so bad for Applebloom, throughout the entire episode.

If you noticed, in each dream sequence, there was something different going on outside with the rooster (and the final and pinky pie floating by with balloons) and the pancakes were different each time. Just little things they through in there. Thought that was cool. Also this is the 2nd episode with pancakes. I think someone on staff must have a thing for them. Great review as always. Hey! I have to say I really really liked this ep. Although I must admit I was really confused the first time watching it. I am still a bit confused, I thought it was going for a groundhog day type thing at first, but I was wrong, I liked this more anyway. Although i would of liked some of the other ponies to play a little more role in it this was still great. Also some of those dreams where really scary! Also the ghostbusters thing was funny with the twittermights. Also I thought totally thought the voice at first was starlight! Also LUNA AHHH! so yeah I liked it, the moral was nice with the whole "it is your dream" thing was so cool, and was to me going for like an example of anxicity and such, all I should say to that is MLP is really good at dealing with really complex issues in a fun non offensive way. it was just nice all in all, though i was a bit sad that there was no "real" song in this ep. but i guess that lullaby was a nice constellation. Once again the animation was really good, they have really stepped that up this season. I guess that is all, I loved the reaction, and the moral was REALLY relatible for me at least. So I look forward to your next video.

So now you know this season focus is on Cutie marks. and I did see another pony in the dreamhallway. it was pale purpleish. like's Starlight's coat. so Starlight Glimmer is the official season long villain!

i think that because the CMC were dreaming the definition of what a Cutiemark is was different to what it actually is the CMC probably think a Cutiemark defines who you are and what you'll do not what it actually means whatever that may be

Its just so cool that sweetie belle and scootalo somehow know deep inside them what cutie mark there going to get .something with singing and the scooter but they try to ...find something else? I dont know why but it looks like and it could be easy if they would try just that! Try singing and scooting then they would maybe get them ,or am i wrong?

Hey I play the trombone! Looks like Pinkie Pie and I are psychically connected even though we live in two different dimensions.... Okay back to the episode! I really thought Applebloom was going to get her cutie mark in this episode, but I guess we can't expect too much, it's only the 4th episode! Although I do wish it was more than just Applebloom having reoccurring nightmares, like maybe the cutie mark crusaders figuring out how things will go once they do figure out who they are and what their destinies are. But I am happy at least ONE of them got their mark. I wonder how Babs managed to use scissors without a horn....... Oh well she obviously made it work! I hope we'll get to see it in one episode. And it doesn't look like Rarity's cutie mark means what it means, she loves fashion but her special talent is archeology! She just uses it to her advantage of putting what she finds on dresses! And it looks like the CMC already know what their special talents are! They're just too afraid to admit it! And Luna FINALLY visited AB's dream! But who's dream will she come into next?

Now I can talk about this. When Hasbro previewed episodes they shoed the clip of Sweetie Belle taking the mike on stage about to sing. Those few seconds lit up the fandom Long she's going to sing Omg she's getting her cutie mark Omg Vinyal and Octavia We all made a fuss over this huge talent show where Sweetie sings and we get a gong and our favorite ponies judge it and well we all made up stories and then it turned out to be that dream. Then that pest controls pony. We first saw his art on a sheet along side rainbow dash. Next thing you know, stories ate spreading about a weather factory episode. It was nuts. We thought there was this steam punk society full of gas mask and jet pack ponies.

... I dont think this is a trilogy. This is at least the second time Luna has mentioned something about fear to the CMC that relates to her. I think that we may get an episode in the near future that revolves around our mighty princess of the night succumbing to her fears once more. And who better to help her understand that she is no longer the monster she once was than those she helped?... and that is way to much of a parallel to my OC for me to be comfortable with... 27:42 wait... I recognise this scene.... oh you *magically censored* come on DHX you give us a little teaser about cutie marks and you make it a dream?.... You guys should not be this good. Edit: two extra things. You mentioned Sweetie Belle and scootaloo having dreams regarding what they want. I wonder if the thing stopping them from taking the plunge to see if thats their cutie mark is the fear that it isnt. 2 I could ignore it before but this dream world looks way to much like the place Celestia took Twilight. Are Alicorns able to ascend to the astral plane or something? or whatever you wanna call the dream world.

Here is a really creepy and shocking theory. The Whole My Little Pony Friendship is Magic is Princess Luna's Nightmare. and the facts can add up to this. who defeated most of the villains before the Mane 6? Tirac was defeated by Luna and Celestia. season 4 villain checked. King Sombra Luna and Celestia. season 3 villain check. even add in discord of the season 2 premiere who was also defeated by Luna and Celestia. so everything in the show may have not really happened. there may be no Mane 6. creepy isn't it?

In one of the comics I heard about a cutie mark changing. which we have seen Three times in this show. May I point out the Magical Mystery Cure? and Bats! and of course the season 5 Premiere! so maybe you can get a cutie mark you hate. and may I also point out The Cutiepox episode? so with four episodes show all the possible stuff about cutie marks an hated one is firmly in the realm of possible. and that's scary. There are people that are really good but hate it but the only way they can live

If starlight can easily take cutie marks. it makes sense that she does have other abilities. and now it is official the first season long villain!
