12:01 is one of my favourite moments in all Chopin's music. Such a noble feeling of liberation and unburdening, it gives me an energy that makes me feel like I can do anything. Amazing video as always.

Hello Greg, Thank you for a comprehensive analysis that doesn’t involve a complex “theorist” explanation that makes it easy to understand! My teacher recommended your channel to me. I just started studying this piece and I’m already enjoying it!

Excellent approach in a very detailed and illustrative way! This waltz, despite its "minor" chords, diligently "covered" by the composer, has always been a source of inner excitement and optimism for me! I relive these wonderful feelings by listening to the analysis of the work and your interpretation, as well. On the occasion of the end of 2021, I wish you Maestro Niemczuk, health, increasing recognition worldwide, prosperity! May your work always offer you and your audience also, the maximum satisfaction and the expected fruits of happiness and completion, through Music! As a postscript, i take the liberty to reveal to you that I still remain with the question of your non-response to my message that followed my commentary on the last part of the sonata op. 58 no. 3. I wholeheartedly hope that this fact is due to a simple coincidence. All the best for the coming New Year 2022 !!!

Loved your analysis!❤ However, in Mes. 40 and 200, the right hand has a quarter rest, and should play on the 3rd beat, not second beat! The last chord in mes. 305 is worth 3 beats WITH a fermata, not staccato! Thank you maestro!

I never understood why the coda is played at such speed : it says "piano", no accelerando, no change in tempo, same notes values. I believe if Chopin would have it played faster than the rest, he would have mentionned it, no ?
@gregniemczuk

Maybe, but the tradition is that in Valses there is generally no one tempo, just like in Mazurkas. It seems that it was just understood that the coda brings some virtuosity. But maybe you're right! I'll try to play it in the same tempo (if I'll have such a control) and see.

Aaah yes. Well, just start them a bit earlier. Don't wait until the last moment. Start it earlier and don't rush
