I grew up in Colorado and got my medical marijuana card the second I turned 18. I dealt with a lot of depression, anxiety, and generally messed up circumstances while growing up. If I didn't have access to weed, I would've coped with another substance - probably alcohol. I'll admit that I did indeed smoke way too much weed growing up.... but looking back, I'm so glad that I was a stoner vs an alcoholic. It really helped me maintain a baseline quality of life despite all of my problems. It's a complicated subject for sure.

The main reason weed was illegal in most states was because the system wasn't making any money off of it. Same reason why prostitution is illegal but strip clubs and brothels aren't. Technically the government wants anything that can't be taxed illegal. That's why you can't just go and hunt for food, cause think about it, if you're hunting for food that's less money being circulated into the system cause you're not spending money on food at the grocery store, so they figured "okay, let's make it to where hunting without a license is Illegal and we're gonna make it cost money" and hell even collecting rain water is illegal in some places. Same thing being if you're collecting rain water you're not going and spending money on water.

Added note: And the real reason they didn't want to legalize it was because why would they give the people something that would actually help them? The whole thing about the government INTENTIONALLY poisoning people so they or their insurance have to pay a shit ton of cash for medications just to survive is a real thing. They want people to pay for drugs that "help" but cause extreme side effects and fucks up other parts of your body so they can prescribe more drugs to "counteract" it. Do you know how much medications cost? It was never about the public safety it was about weaponizing the legal system against their political enemies supporters. Originally they did it in California so that they could arrest Mexicans and seize their property because it was common among their people to smoke it. Later Nixon thought about legalizing it but it was a convenient way to keep the hippies in line and people of color because they also smoked it so they could arrest them and throw them in jail. I suspect the only reason why they have been allowing it now it's little more than a distraction so that people won't notice what they're really up to. I don't care either way I've been smoking since 1976 I have no intention of stopping.

Don't have seizures, but I get major EM (Eurythema Multiforme) flareups. The ONLY thing that helps manage the pain from the body-spread blisters and didn't aggravate the flareup in the process was cannabis. And it's not something you can take medication for and snuff it out or dwindle the symptoms like you can with allergies. It's something that has to take it's course anr ride it out, symptoms and all. And it's so fkn rare, there's hardly any medical options for treatment and management.

​@RickTheRedBrick Old Channel it makes my heart race depending on the strand, weed has always been wierd with me, sometimes I smoked and was fine and other times went into some kind of panic attack, just depends on the strand I guess for me anyway

@@DimplesGenX yeah it def is, I had to quit smoking a few years ago because it started giving me panic attacks so now I'm just done with it unless it's legal and I can get the exact kind I want lol
