After Jay went back to ILand Niki lead most of the dance practice, he was the second youngest and he lead the 12 grounders dance practice. The 1st time he said he didn't want to do it the PD at midcheck asked why he wasn't leading the team, like it was expected of this small boy to lead this group, I can't imagine the stress and hard work he had to do to lead while at the same time not falling behind himself. He amazes me, Jay and Niki are my favorite. I love how both showed their determination to succeed but still support the rest of the team both at ILand and the ground.

Jay is right....in the very first time he saw Niki...he said Niki is really good!

I mean.. Key and Taemin (two of his biggest influences) are both known to have a huge selfish/ambitious/bratty side and look at them now! Top of the 2nd gen. Lots of idols have that side and that's what got them to the top. That "selfish" side doesn't mean they aren't warm people who cherish their member bonds, relationships, and fans like crazy. But that stubborn side of them has helped them grow for the past 12+ years. I can see Ni-Ki also has that "cute and feeds off of his hyungs doting on him" side that makes everyone love Taemin (Taemin has frequent bratty/selfish behaviour and high opinion of himself and everyone (including me) still finds him adorable and call him Taeminnie even at age 27), and some of the "I'm just going to be me and stay true to myself" integrity that makes everyone trust Key, and getting this far at this age shows he has that tenacity to work crazy hard and create opportunities for himself to shine and show his true self... so I think he's in a good position to grow up into someone really awesome. Despite any hate he may have gotten, I have a feeling he's the type to attract loyal fans from the get-go.

Exactly, I think his journey to debut on I-Land was the hardest and full of obstacles. Not saying others didn't face any hardships but this boy and his fans literally went against the world to make debut and prove he is worth it. Now he has not only Nikitties by his side but also Engenes and Enhypen members. 😢

He looks EXACTLY like Touya Akira from Hikaru no Go. He is the rival character rather than the main character, but he is a super-duper prodigy who has the same laser-sharp focus and overwhelming talent and strong personality as Ni-Ki. Their faces and personalities match extraordinarily well!

I don't get when all of you mention #NI_KI's "character development".🤔 There isn't such a thing when it comes to him. He has ALWAYS BEEN a hardworking, adorable, playful responsible, attentive and talented 14 YEARS OLD boy...but MNET never showed us that side of him. They portrayed him as a "selfish and arrogant" person, and...You all might ask why. Well, they (the editors, producers, etc.) did it to create A SHOW, a show FULL of DRAMATIC and EVIL EDITIONS TOWARDS A 14 YEARS OLD KID. This is something known and common to happen in WORLDWIDE reality shows. Creating drama to capture audience's attention, to capture more people. BUT...WHAT HURTS ME THE MOST is that many, many people fell for that scam and were LITERALLY BULLYING A CHILD. I could not understand how EVIL people can be towards him, and I still can't believe how many people are STILL like that. I just want you all to stop saying that he "changed his mind, became more mature" and those things, because it's not true. I already explained why I state this, but, ALSO, if #NI_KI looked "too serious" or even "cold" during the first episodes, it was because he was STRESSED, WORRIED and PRESSURED about the whole situation. The program (producers, judges...all those behind I-LAND) made him believe that he would not made it (You can even listen to him saying it here. It's heartbreaking) Put yourself in his shoes: Leaving your home, travel alone to a country with a whole different language and culture, being a foreigner in a competitive environment in which you aren't sure if your efforts are enough because the judges are always saying you're lacking, losing your most closest friends one by one (Nicholas, Kyungmin, Taki, Hanbin, K)...and many more. Just imagine the emotional manipulation that NI-KI went through. It's not even comparable to the other members around his age because they were not in the same situation as him. (I highly believe some members were aware of the show in some aspects, but...that's another topic) MY BIGGEST FLEX: Not being fooled by a show dramatic and evil editions towards a hardworking and talented 14 years old boy and, even though it was hard and tiring, I was able to fully support #NI_KI throughout all that shitty program :') ❤ THANK YOU SO MUCH to all of you who believed in him and supported him ❤ You are the best 👏 Let's keep supporting NI-KI and showing him love now more than ever ♡ #nikitties #teamscrambled #니키 #엔하이픈 #아이랜드 #ニキ #西村リキ #リキ #ENHYPEN

He is the most underrated Iland trainee, even now some don't include him in Enhypen and get the least attention but I know he will soon capture other people's heart ♥. His Iland story is one of the most interesting, truly the dark horse and the plot twist of Iland, the boy in peach shirt. People will never know what he have gone through and us fans diligently supporting him and defending him. I'm proud of Ni-Ki 🐆

グラウンドとアイランドのバランスを保つためにグラウンドに残されたのは間違いないと思います。グラウンドにも実力のあるチームを引っ張る子がいないと成り立たないシステムでしたよね。ニキがいなかったら、最初から不公平なシステムが浮き彫りになって、ちっとも面白くない番組になってたでしょう。あと、ニキはi-landのときからヒスンとダンスに関してリーダー的なことやってましたよね。結局プロットにハメられたのではないでしょうか？最後にデビューさせるとプロデューサー陣が決めてからはあっという間に人気が出るような編集に切り替わりました。同意して出演しているとはいえ、こういう番組は人（しかも未成年）の扱いが酷いですね。ニキはまだデビューできたからいいけれど、ケイにはあまりに酷い経験だったと思います。

Agree. Especially when there will be a dance battle. NIKI Could already make it to iland after Fire performance because he did so well also. But the producers keep Niki so that grounders have matched with ilanders. It was so obvious 😂😂

In some first episodes, I think the atmosphere in the Ground was too much peaceful and less motivated. But when Ni-ki came here, he broke out this peace, blew the new energy and fierce fire that forced the Ground changed. And then they improved strongly together. 🥺

I thought so too! Imagine if all the good trainees moved to I-LAND, I doubt GROUNDER would have any chance of winning! That's why the PD deliberately left some good trainees, so they can still compete. If it wasn't for Sunoo, Ni-Ki, Daniel and Nicholas (ex I-LANDER), the GROUNDER might lose more scores in the Representative Battle. If it wasn't for Ni-Ki's leading and teaching, GROUNDER might not be able to perform properly as a team. Even Jaeho once said their utmost issue is that they don't have anyone to teach and lead them. Ni-Ki was the only one who's capable to do that. But isn't it irony that they give that difficult role/responsibility to the second youngest among the 22 trainees? Anyway Ni-Ki's role in GROUND was THAT crucial. Although, in return, they sacrificed Ni-Ki's mental health which were deteriorating each episodes (him being all stressed and losing confidence! >,

We do not need subtitles fellow Nikitties., Mnet gives Niki less screen time., though he always Shine whenever they perform., thats whyy , and of course We knew Niki. Niki talk less, react less but his reaction is always superb.
