I grew up listening to oldies and Merle Haggard and Waylon that my older brother used to play a lot and then as a teenager I got into punk rock and early alternative music. This young man came and played in my hometown just a few weeks ago and I was blown away by his sincerity, his guitar playing, and how much of a great singer he is. I wouldn't say I'm in to country a lot but I do have an appreciation for music and talent and this kid has it!

I heard this song last night at the Opry for the very first time.It reminded me of us and I know from his perspective I would and do feel the same way.. I could see us in the grocery store just like this -I don't know how you feel about me these days but I know how I feel about you. I have always loved you as it's taken alot of soul searching to figure out how and what I really do feel..Being a widow and loving someone else has been very hard for me to adjust to a new way of life. I felt like at times I was cheating on my late husband so I thought I'd have to shut my feelings and love off for you and make everyone happy. I found out that I'm not at all happy without you because I truly do love you with all my heart and soul. I can't live a life that keeps me from living.He would want me to be happy.He always wanted a good man who would be good to and love his girls.
