Here comes again a perfect example of a good KZfaq algorithm. Unlike a lot of other people doing such documentaries, you utilise the perfect atmospheric background music that complements your commentaries and is perfectly aligned with the beautiful sights. I appreciate this so, so much. Too often weird sounding music is playing in the background, distorting the overall image. Your documentary, on the other hand, is very raw, and therefore so much easier to grasp and feel and enjoy it. Thanks for manifesting my goal to continue running longer and longer distances to one day being able to make a 100-miler or even something like Moab. Much love from Germany, Nick

I shot with a GoPro Hero 7 Black. It does a great job with a lot of light, its nighttime capabilities were more limited. Video from pacers and crew were recorded using a variety of iPhones.

Bravo sir 👍 I’m just about to do my first ‘ultra’ (Ambleside 60km, Northwest England) it’s only 37.5 miles but it’ll be the longest distance I’ve attempted, and this film gives me such fantastic inspiration to go on to bigger distances Hope to do Moab one day, all the best pal 👍

Very inspirational and thoroughly absorbing to watch. I am 57 and very new to running ( actually I have actively avoided it all my life ) I have gone from zero to 10 km over the past 2 months and this video has made me excited about running gradually longer distances. I am sure I will watch it again whenever I need inspiration. Many thanks.

Definitely do it gradually and avoid injury. I'm glad the older, wiser you has found that running is a good thing! I ran my first ultra at age 42, and I hope I'm still banging around these long distances in ten years.

At some point you have no choice. Even if you’re “done” in between aid stations, it might take you hours to hike to the next aid station where you can rest before deciding to drop. The race requires a high level of self sufficiency and determination. Thanks for watching!

This is such an epic journey. I love the music, the videography, everything! It really inspires dreams. I've been running for 22+ years with trail ultras for only the last 7 years or so. Still working my way up to my first 100-mile. But as you know it is a long slow journey to get there. Maybe some day! 50-mile is definitely on the list for this summer. Cheers, keep up the lovely videos and most of all have fun out there!

I know that given time and motivation most of us could attain sufficient fitness to enter a half marathon or even a marathon. What blows my mind is how after 200 miles on virtually no sleep when you hit the wall so that you can barely think and everything hurts and yet you still find the mental resolve to dig in and push on through. This is what separates ultra athletes from the rest of us poor mortals.Part of me loves the idea of doing something like this but I know that I’d cave in when it got hard ( in my current level of fitness after about 10 miles)
@wplate

Well said Steve. What the body can do physically is amazing, and I think anyone with time and effort can train to go far. But you are right to identify the mental side as the real challenge. Thank you for your comment, really appreciated.
