Unfortunately I know people who go in every winter, they do a few months make a fortune selling drugs and come back out for the summer. Not much of a life and shows what a joke the UK prison service is.

You have no idea what the actual world is. Millions of people are born and die in abject poverty every day. Crime is often the only possible way to make enough to live. Because we live in a world where corporations tell us how much human lives are worth. Even though you cannot put a price on a human life.
@AtticusHess

@@jizzmonkey9679 You've obviously never done time in the US. We still push chain gangs and have them break rocks and execute people without due process. UK prison is fairy dream summer camp bullshit. Top a couple blokes in the loo, wash it down with a pint, and grow the fuck up.

When I was 16 I was in juvenile jail, and we went to do a type of "scared straight" thing at a federal prison just north of Phoenix. Each of us was sat down with an adult inmate to get advice or whatever. I was sat with Rosario Gambino. He was super nice. He didn't try and talk down to me Told me it's all bullshit, about how the guy on the other side room got 1/4 of the sentence he did and had been caught with. 50x more drugs. I'm really into soccer, so we spent most of the time talking about that. He told me about the games they organized inside. When it was time to leave, all the other kids got handshakes from the inmates they talked to. I got a hug.

@gordonlawrence1448
@gordonlawrence1448 2 жыл бұрын
@@RandomGuy-jo8ky Actually it happens to women and girls a lot. The reason it never hits the newspapers is that it's the female guards doing it, and that does not fit with the F$%inism narrative.
@RandomGuy-jo8ky
@RandomGuy-jo8ky 2 жыл бұрын
@@gordonlawrence1448 I appreciate your perspective on it Sir. It has always bugged me how they can be open air bragging about sexual accosting minors and not punished for it. Even the state officials (yes the Judges and cops) should legally become registered sex offenders since they are accomplices to accosting of minors and even threats of rape. But instead society APPLAUDS IT and makes it VERY clear that the kids DESERVE to be accosted/threatened and yes even DESERERVE to be forced down and raped against their will with all that comes with it to "teach them a lesson" (for being disrespectful in court and skipping school or whatever that earned them the need to be raped). Then those kids come back into society and spread those STD's and have PTSD forever, but at least the Judge feels better while looking at himself naked in the mirror at night I guess. (rant over). Thank you for this content though, you do good work Sir.

Gotti's reputation (who was most certainly a killer) didn't do much for him with the AB. It's not the 60s, 70s etc anymore... They extorted him, and when he thought he didn't need to pay anymore as he had enough of his own guys in there, they beat his ass. Real life isn't HBO's Oz, and the AB isn't dwerps like Schillinger getting beat up by some manslaughtering DUI lawyer, who used to hold his pocket, or by some overweight mob guys who mostly do not look like Pancamo/Chuck Zito... Then again Michael was in Club Fed (a pun, since there are these holiday resorts called "Club Med" around the Mediterranean), not in a place like Marion...

The last thing i'll say is I hated working with those jack-ass co-workers/officers who were blatantly messing with inmates for EVERY PETTY issue, on that "gun and badge power trip". etc. Yes they exist and no decent officer wants to work with a fool. "DIESEL THERAPY" interesting...I worked in law enforcement, when they were mad at us we got "FREEWAY THERAPY". They'd reassign you to a facility furthest from your preferred facility or furthest from your home. Pretty much to cause us an inconvenience. Maybe even to cause people to quit, because the commute isn't worth keeping a job so far from home.

Michael, for me, the fascination with knowing about Prison is that it's a world I'll never see, but have heard a lot about, and hearing it from someone who's Been there, and whose word I trust, gives me true & real insight into this world. A world full of craziness and horror. You do a wonderful job of painting a picture so clear, I can almost see it in mind's eye. Amazing!

I can see it. I did time in a mental facility and it was some of the best months of my life. Different things, but believe me, when you're trapped in a place with strangers and guards isolated from your family and potentially in danger your brain adapts and you find ways to enjoy the little things. Get a new appreciation for life.
