It's totally different. Sanford got banned by Sibol ( PH national Esport team ) to join the team, because he refused to join the Sibol team during last year's IESF. No one will ban Zane for whatever decision he makes, IESF has nothing to do with player's decision, it's their national team to decide, in which NA doesn't have.

united states eSports federation (uesf) is the one picking American citizen players. I don't think they will officially ban any player that doesn't want to go. But next time maybe they just won't pick that player (silent ban).
