Never heard such a gloomy, airy, dark atmosphere created simply from beats and rhymes like this album does. The talent of these two was insane, they manufactured the sound of mid 90s Hip Hop and captivated projects culture, and they’re influence often goes unnoticed amongst other legends from that era.

I remember the day I stole this album out of the record store it was funny because it was the first day it came out came out yes I also was a graffiti artist so you know we'd love to still I stole Nas album the very first day it came out to there was an 94 I actually got to meet him when he came to Chicago and a dark alley of all places that sucker was so scared but hey I would be too if you seen me in that dark alley

The production on this song invokes such a feeling of paranoia, which is perfect. This album is more than just music, it's a movie you listen to, with all the atmosphere it has. It's what got me to fall in love with hip hop in the first place way back in the mid 90's

As a teen in todays era, I'm proud to say that I naturally grew up listening to 90s hip hop. My dad is a REAL hip hop head so he would play Mobb Deep, Nas, Wu-Tang, Onyx and I would get heavily influenced as a kid. TRUE HIP HOP LIVES FOREVER ❤❤ Edit: thank god I didn't get brainwashed by today's garbage music 😂😂🙏🏾

This track saved the lives and health of many young men... For real... There are people who would not be here, or healthy if they didn't hear this track and learn from the vivid storytelling. My favorite thing is they weren't so arrogant and stubborn that they underestimated the threat, and also didn't waste time fleeing. "Trife Life got me thinking like and animal..."

This song takes me back to a very grimmie period of my life. Im only 25. I didn't listen to this music because it was "old school hip hop" i listened to mobb deep because it was the only thing i could relate to with the way i was living at the time. Rip prodigy one of the realist cats to ever do rap, no matter the fame he always kept it street. big respect from the Northside of Denver co.

Jay z was out and known in NYC when this dropped in summer of 95. Just because RD didn’t drop until 96 doesn’t mean he wasn’t “out”. In my lifetime and remix was late 94 and summer 95. And I can’t get with that filmed in Marcy was summer 94. Plus on MiC Geronimo album in 95 and him and Big L cool and on the radio in 95.
