This was the second of two videos I recorded and sent to the Entertainment Department, per the request of my District Manager at the time, to showcase the store and show. This video contains the first segment of the "Destination Imagination" show.

I must say that CEC Mobile AL in the 90's is right up there with CEC Wilmington NC in my book.

Thanks for uploading this Brian. Incredible work on this stage. This makes me miss the golden era of CEC. I thought it was just me but the music and designs just ain't what they used to be.

Thanks, the gobo was a 3-Stage adaptation of the gobo that was introduced with the 1 and 2 Stage Shows.

Seems like this location got to use Destination Imagination a bit earlier than most others, as those other locations used this show from August 1-November 23, 1995

This is fantastic. EDIT: I also have every right to believe the programer for this show was confused and programed some singing voices to the wrong characters such as Munch.

@@destinationimagination952.6 There’s literally nothing there that would suggest they made a mistake. They had very distinct voice actors than the previous shows. They also had different singing voices and speaking voices. Everything was how it should have been with the programming.

How did you make the gobo in the beginning? I do lights for my high school theatre, and it would be very fun to attempt that.

I definitely really like the movie stage even though I think the playroom stage is better. With that did you paint the walls or is it just canvas? How long did it take you to do all of the updates? Also I really like that gobo of cool Chuck. Definitely unique unlike the gobo they started using. I like destination imagination but I agree their voices sound weird. It always makes me confused when Chuck e talks normally but when he sings he sounds different. I don’t know why Disney would let them do but that’s the 90s for you where Chuck E. Cheese was good and you wouldn’t see that today.

I prefer the switch. With Pasqually moved to where Pizzacam was, the stage looks far more balanced…since Pasqually lines up with Chuck.

I don't know when it was changed back because it was some time after I had moved to Dallas to Join the Entertainment Department.

@@brianhagan well back when Chuck E. Cheese teamed up with Disney, they should’ve also maybe team up with the country bear jamboree show attraction for what I like to call: “Jasper’s country music show”. Because it’s got everything that Chuck E. Cheese’s showroom has.
