Love the layout. ❤️ A tiny suggestion….try the ladder with the blankets over on the short wall beside the new entry table. Brings the colour over that way and fills the empty wall. It looks a tiny bit crowded with everything on the tv wall. When you take the tree down, either make yourself a tall DIY planter using outside branches (the same colour as your pallet actually) in a pot and put little twinkle lights on it and leave it up. Not a lot of twinkle lights but a short strand. Lights up the corner and adds a little light. We put Mickey Mouse twinkle lights on our tree and it looks pretty cool. And for the different seasons, I add hearts, or bunny images, flowers or autumn leaves. It’s on a timer so it comes on at dusk and goes off at 10 pm. Google DIY tree. Nice job Momma!

Love love everything you’ve done. The only thing I would adjust is moving the sectional in a little more so when you walk in the door it’s not so close. It’s all so beautiful

I'm 56 and live in a rather large single family home and I absolutely LOVE all your videos, ideas, and what you've done to your sweet home... It's absolutely BEAUTIFUL and you are absolutely AMAZING!!❤ I do have one suggestion and that is to keep one of your end tables and use it next to your sofa, on the side of the couch where you moved your tree.. You can place a lamp on it, some family pictures and your family/company would have another surface for drinks or something. Then you wouldn't need a floor lamp in the corner. Please lmk if you like this idea. Love you and your channel!!🦋

The living room is lovely! The only change I would make is push your sectional more into the living room away from the door- 1. It allows more clearance 2. It will save the back of your sectional from dirt and grime from hands (who won’t use the back of the sectional to hold onto to remove or put on shoes or bump against as you take out trash or haul in grocery bags or their items?) and dust coming from the opening and closing of your doors. Your home has come such a long way from when you took possession of it and your style has certainly evolved too!

Love it!! You could get a nice artificial tree (ficus, palm, etc) to warm that corner up when you take the Christmas tree down!!

Kristin - it is absolutely lovely and that side table is perfect! Since you asked - quick suggestions. First, I would move the sofa a few inches closer to the tv to give a little more clearance to the entry. A pretty peg board on the wall next to the door would be great. Second - a floor lamp next to the couch where the tree is would be great. After you move the tree, I would move the blanket ladder and basket for balance to the other side of the tv and put a nice floor plant to help soften the space and bring in some color. You could even get an uplight behind the plant. Have a great day!

I absolutely love the new arrangement of the furniture! I love the curtains and the entryway table too 😊 I agree with some other comments that maybe get a really nice fake tree to put in the corner once you take out the Christmas tree...you could even add fairy lights to the fake tree/plant. If I may make a suggestion, maybe just scoot the sofa a little more towards the TV, that way it's not right up against where the door is at. Other than that, it absolutely looks great! 🦋

Lovely, Kelly. I agree with the comment that the TV wall looks crowded. Moving the ladder would help. As for a replacement for the Christmas tree, I would suggest a large maybe glass (pale blue-greenish) with really large leaf in it. I’ve seen it in decorating magazines lately. Some green “nature” would brighten and warm things up. Wish I knew how to add a photo to my post!🦋🦋🦋

That turned out soooo beautiful! Well done girl. Google how to put pool noodle pieces between your curtain pleats. I cut my pieces about 3 inches and put them between the pleats. The curtains hang so much nicer. When you take your tree down maybe you could put up an artificial ficus or fiddle leaf tree. Have a happy week. ♥️🦋🦋🦋

I love it, everything looks so much nicer. I couldn't imagine what it would look like but you did an excellent job. That's a great idea about a plant but I can also see a nice lamp there too. You might end up pushing your couch closer to your tree to have a wider entry. And then once you get a different mat that will look super nice. You can get some nice shoe and boot trays now that don't look so bad. 💕💕👏👏🦋🦋

🦋 the living room turned out beautiful. As you live with it a while you will probably make some tweaks. I think you will need to move the couch a few inches to give the door entry a little more space. I like the runner there, but between the vent location and the door pushing it, maybe some kind of mat would be an option. Having something there would be functional to catch any tracked in dirt. Your vision for your space and determination are amazing.

You made an excellent, excellent choice to move your living room around!! I cannot believe the difference it makes !! Seriously makes it so much more cozy, it looks like it flows so much better ! I really really love it ! The curtains just make it all come together, and totally warms up the space ! Oh if you move your sofa just a little bit towards your tv, you could put a sofa table behind it, along the back side like where your door is. More storage, another area to decorate, just a thought 🙂 Oh can you put carpet tape on that rug so it doesn't move? That might help! I was wondering about the baseboard, when you do that...I think that'll be another thing when done...it'll be like everything just comes together with a finished look ! I love the final makeover. Turning the furniture around made such a difference. Just a friendly reminder, when you get a moment you should add some weatherstripping to the front door to prevent air coming in along with creepy crawlers. I'm sure you have thought of this already. The living room looks so good Kelly! Maybe when you take the tree down, you could out a little chair there! Karrie Lynn has a really neat leather chair in her living room. Something like that would look nice! I've seen similar ones at Big Lots, and I bet Amazon has them too! and maybe some white floating shelves, or wood, above the TV?

It’s turned out lovely Kelly👌🏼 my only suggestion would be put a spare scrap of 2x4 under the the window behind the couch, to act as a spacer for your curtains to hang naturally without the couch sliding back into them. Seriously it looks so homey and welcoming.

Looks fantastic! One suggestion:you may want to keep an end table because when you take your Christmas tree down you will probably want some light in that corner. So save an end table and lamp for that.

I live in Gold Coast California I purchased 2013 1,7400 sq foot $65,000 this place has never been painted , I painted put all new appliances nee toilets new sinks new flooring … just saying I’m in a #1 mobile home park in a town OXNARD .. my home is now worth $385,000. U have done amazing job in your home. But I have notice you have not installed baes Boards all around your home… ❤️

I love the new layout and new curtains and table. The only thing I’d suggest is get a larger rug to go under the front legs of the couch. It won’t move around and it will be better scale for the room and furniture. Love your taste.

Lovely living room !! However, I suggest that you set the tall cabinet on either wall. It looks crowded with the blanket stand when it is placed kitty corner. Also, the rug would look better if it was pulled out, instead of jammed up against the couch. I agree with an earlier suggestion to place a ficus plant in the corner when you remove the Christmas tree.

I love your new setup!! Everything looks so good!! I have two suggestions. First, perhaps scoot the sofa a little more towards the tv wall, so that it isn’t right against the front door. Seems like it needs more walk-in space. Second, maybe you could get someone to remove the front door and shave off some of the bottom so that it doesn’t catch on your rug. Great job!! 😍

I am so happy for you that you have such a beautiful home for you and your children you have worked so hard on it and it looks amazing…I have a suggestion…I don’t know if it will work…if you pull your runner back over the vent…take off the vent, and cut a hole in the rug and then place the vent back over it…I don’t know how thick your rug is if it would wor , you can cut only three sides and place the flap insid the duck and then if you decide to move it some where else you have the flap and just use carpet tape to secure the other three sides…and you won’t be able to tell it was even cut….lol it might work….have a blessed week💗💗💗

Really love the livingroom. It looks fabulous. When you take the Christmas tree down, you could get a green foe tree and put fairy lights on it. I have a tall vase with red branches in it and fairy lights. Love your videos. 🦋❤❤

🦋 I am not going to lie, when you said you were going to turn your couch around like that, I was nervous. I thought it wouldn't look right and would make it look less inviting and so much smaller. But, as always, it looks really nice, and with the lighter colors, it doesn't look as small as I was thinking it would. I really love how it turned out and now am contemplating how I can rearrange my living room to something similar. 😂

You need to pull out your couch just a little from your wall behind the couch so your curtains hang freely. Also I would move the couch a couple inches from the door or everyone will have their hands on it as they come in, or lay a blanket across the back there, very beautiful room!

The furniture placement looks great. If it were me, and I know you have the tall cabinet already, but instead I would put an open shelf bookcase on each side of the television. Then place something over the television. A clock or a picture so it will be filled in. It would look more balanced. You can always put a large faux plant where you placed the Christmas tree.

Looks so nice. Unsolicited suggestion…..when you take down your tree push your couch down about 12-15”. Will open up your entry way a bit more. You’ve done a great job creating a cozy, welcoming home. 🦋
