I swear the ending for these blooded orphans was both unfair yet strangely satisfying

Who remembers when this intro was played while the episode was going on with them crossing the tunnel and finally coming up and the rest fighting in the battle field

My favorite Gundam opening. I love seeing the Barbatatos Lupus Rex howl and destroying mobile suits.

I think Orga's death hurt the most for me, it felt soo low. Orga died protecting his own to his final breath, it was a tragedy but still an honorable death, and thankfully Orga was justified in the end.

This ending hits rly hard especially right after Mikazuki gets paralyzed from the mobile armor. It gives off this vibe of “these kids are really doomed into war and all they know and live by is fighting”. The way Mika is shown at 0:20 emphasizes his demeanor: that he is a soulless war machine who enjoys killing so much that he doesn’t even care that his body can’t move on its own anymore. When this song plays in the last episode, it rly hits you that these people won’t allow these poor children to reach their goal, and all they can do is fight back to reduce casualties. The fact that this war has killed so many of them. The war itself was madness and these kids were caught right in the middle of it. Not my favorite opening but it definitely cuts deep and was introduced at a perfect time in the story

1:04 that shot of the Barbatos Lupus Rex is so simple yet so intimidating, it shows perfectly the killing machine it is when used by Mika

That red spider lily is the prelude to that bittersweet ending of the tekkaden... By far, one of the best anime... for me.

Absolutely love this OP. The second I hear the beginning guitar, I remember the descent that is the end of Tekkadan. Love this show, my favorite AU Gundam.

This opening has slowly become my favorite. And I LOVE Man with a Mission so that's saying something. The ending of this show also gives me chills. So good.

Never seen this series, want to watch eventually, but damn does this opening hold so much emotion even without full context.

Just finished it. I was never a fan of Gundam, but this one was superbly done. SPOILER: Orga was one of my favs. Without Biscuit, his chief advisor and voice of reason, Orga and the gang made bad decision after bad decision. They sealed their fate when they made a deal with McGillis to become the "Kings of Mars". That was the beginning of the end for Tekkaden. He wanted so much for them to be respected and established that he developed tunnel vision and did not consider the consequences of those choices, much in the same vein as McGillis. McGillis and Orga were quite similar in S2, becoming almost blinded by their goal and walking in the dark, and then it was far too late to come up with a contingency plan or turn around. It was a bittersweet end, but at least all was not lost and some made it. More than I expected in any case.

I heard this song and saw this OP and it made me watch the series; only then did I learn that this was the song that plays after the heroes have lost.

This show represents hero’s turning into villains they use to be fighting for a good cause but orga made bad decisions after biscuit died and tried to take what wasn’t there’s, orga was the cause of this death but he was still an absolute unit and I highly respect him for that. this anime is very dark but that’s what makes it SO good

When I saw this opening in knew it was over that something was going to happen to tekkaden

I aint never cry watching an anime but this one after watching them last two episodes it jus made me think of all my dogs tryna make it out the hood when all they ever knew was the streets so many fallen soldiers, but still we carry on.

I like the series all the way through until the end but what didn't make sense was that Mikazuki could of gotten a wheelchair to help him move around, instead of someone always carrying him

The most underrated anime

At the end, reflecting in Mikazuki's eye is Spider lily, meaning death (in Japanese) so it was a premonition of the demise he shall meet. The animators for the opening did a subtle detail that ment something big in a upcoming future

Never seen the show, but whenever i write for the end of my series I always listen to this song.

This is deadass the only Mobile Suit Gundam anime that I actually enjoyed watching bc it focuses moreso on the mecha action aspect than the political themes typical in the mainline Gundam anime.

Been a fan of gundam wings and gundam seed and watching ibo made me initially refuse to watch this series.. but man as you watch continously this series grows on you and the ending has the most heartbreaking ending for any gundam AU in my opinion.

I hope they continue the series, Orga and Gaelio were my favourites characters!!!
