Labeling any airbrush as the ‘best in the world’ is subjective and is influenced by factors such as budget, experience, and painting requirements. In my experience, I have had a lot of success using the Iwata CM-C and Procon Boy PS770. The Mobius, featured in your video, seems well-engineered and budget-friendly for beginners. While my comment isn’t criticism, I believe the title may not fully capture these nuances. Appreciate the informative video!

Thanks for the feedback it very much appreciated. I do appreciate the title is a bold statement, it is designed to stimulate discussion about the subject. I too have a number of high end airbrushes, H&S evo and Infinity CR+, Hansa and Mr Hobby Procon boy, all of which I enjoy using and rate very highly, but for a relatively new manufacturer to enter the market with products as good as this airbrush at its current price point, it makes you look twice. I will be following up on this video around summertime to feedback after an extended time using the Gaahleri airbrushes I will revise this bold statement if it doesn’t perform constantly well.

Thanks for your comment, I can assure you that my opinions are not given because I’ve been sponsored by Gaahleri, they are happy to hear my feedback either good or bad, they want to know if there are problems with their products so they can be rectified and make better. As I have said before they offer a very strong manufacturer guarantee with all of their products which is a statement of confidence in what they produce 👍

Airbrush Professor is not happy. While the Gaahleri brushes are not Iwata, they are the best I have encountered at a more affordable price point. I have a Swallowtail with optional fan tip, and find it well made, and to spray reliably. The needle seals are good, and the air chamber and nozzles are well executed. I need several airbrushes for different paints and application needs.. these will have a place right alongside my premium Iwata brushes👍.. and I paid for all my brushes. I get nothing on promotion.

There have been many issues with manufacturing tolerances and quality control. For as far as I know Gaahleri has done many adjustments to their process and the later Mobius brushes have been fine. Their customer support is great so if you have an issue and the have fixed that with a new part you will be able to get the replacement part for free I understood. I have a later Mobius and I like it, though its not the same quality as my H&S Evo/Infinity its still nice and comparatively cheap. I prefer the Mobius .3 over the .2 as its much less finicky over the paint and it sprays almost as fine, lastly I don't like the MAC valve on the .2 as I never use it and it is in the way sometimes.

I bought their ghad-39 for less than $30 USD a few months back. I loved it so much that I bought their 2mm and 3mm morbius airbrushers. These are the only airbrushers that I use now and I also have an Iwata, a CREOS PS-289, a Sotar and a Neoeco . Those are all good airbrushers which says a lot about what Gaahleri are producing now. I just purchased their new airbrush holders but haven’t received them yet.

I bought a GHAD-39 and a Mobius 0.2. The Mobius came with a bent needle which they promptly replaced. The 39 had also a bent needle but not as bad. They need to up their quality control about 10 notches or make them someplace other than China as those guys are notorious for cutting corners at all opportunities. Their top tiered brushes should be near perfect if they are to make it in the market. BTW I used a Lupe to check the needles under high magnification.

I am an Iwata fangirl, no question, having used the real Iwatas for decades.. that being said I also own a Gaalheri Swallowtail fully optioned with fan cap and stand. It IS a remarkable value, and very good performer. After experiencing the Swallowtail, they got my attention. One of these you show here is next. Is the equal of a Custom Micron? Not likely, but I fully expect it to be very close. By huge margin these are the best value in fine quality airbrushing. At 1/4 the price of the Custom Micron's, it is darn remarkable. Looking forward to getting one as a companion to my other Gaahleri and Iwatas. I never thought I would be as good to go with another brand, but Gaahleri won me over.

@@KitchenTableModeller Sometimes other modelers ask me about what brush to get... and I know they can't afford a Iwata Custom Micron for the fine stuff and an Iwata High Line with larger nozzle for larger work, so its been tough to make a suggestion. A $30 mass market brush will spray, but they just don't atomize and give results like the best.. With Gaahleri, I now have a line I can recommend without reservation.

I ordered 2 of the Mobius 0.3s and both of them had serious manufacturing problems out of the box, rendering them practically useless. HOWEVER, being the person I am, I spent a little time re-machining here, polishing there, replacing the entire auxiliary lever and needle with ones from Iwata HP-C+2s, and I tuned and tweaked and wound up with a pair of airbrushes that feel even better than my Custom Micron CMC +2s. . .the trigger control and overall user experience is right up there with my CMs, no joking it's absolutely fantastic. . . So yeah, with some expert reworking on these the Mobius 0.3 CAN rival a Custom Micron, but nobody is going to take the time and money to get theirs in that condition. . . Out of the box, the Mobius is merely the most beautiful display piece ever made, but not quite the equal of their Japanese counterparts..

I like Gaalheri as a company. I think their products place siginificant downward pricing pressure on the mid tier airbrush market and are forcing the cheap knock-offs to improve. My first airbrush from them was the GHAD-39 which was on sale for $39 USD. I purchased that based on a review claiming it was as good as an Iwata HP-CS. Spoiler, it's not. It is a very good airbrush for $39, but my Fengda 183K was almost identical to that airbrush for only $29 and offered a plethora of extras. I would still recommend the GHAD-39 simply because of the customer service Gaahleri offers, but to claim it is as good as a $180 airbrush is laughable. It's good for the price point but it has flaws. Later after seeing multiple reviews of the Mobius, I decided to pick one up on a sale for $69 USD. I purchased the 0.3mm version. I was hoping they resolved the flaws of the GHAD-39 and that I would finally have a budget friendly airbrush to compete with my Iwata's, Procon Boys, or even my badger renegade. What I recieved was a well built airbrush that works as well as and in many instances even better than any other budget friendly airbrush I own, but it still has flaws. There is a lot to like about it though. The mirror finish cup is excellent and should be the standard on high-end airbrushes. The nozzle design makes it easy to clean and tear down. I like the Iwata nozzle design better as it is easier to clean, but this one is a step up from the GHAD-39. The build quality is better than almost every other budget airbrush I've come across. And of course there is the outstanding Ghaaleri customer service. There are downsides though. I like to have granular control over the airflow, and this trigger makes it hard to do that. Air is either on or off with this airbrush. The slightest downward pressure gives you full air. If that is what I needed I would use one of my single action airbrushes. Pulling back the trigger to the half way point, and you start to get air even if you are not pressing down on the trigger. It completely defeats the purpose of having a dual action airbrush. I couldn't find anyway to adjust it to make that stop. This is just a presonal preference, but I fing the trigger a bit uncomfortable. Again, that is just preference, so I won't fault Ghaaleri for taking a design risk. While the brush atomizes and sprays well, It sprays better than my $30-$40 airbrushes, I would say it sprays as well as my Badger Patriot, but not as well as my Iwata HP-CS. I paid $80 USD for the Patriot. Honestly I thought the GHAD-39 sprayed just as good as the Mobius. The biggest gripe I had with the GHAD-39 had to do with the trigger guide lever which wasn't attached. That is common for cheap airbrushes, so it was good to see the Mobius had the trigger guide lever attached to the needle guide. It might not seem like a big deal, but I've wasted more time than I care to think about trying to get those to seat back in. It's also really easy to lose when it isn't attached to the guide. Overall I like where Gaalheri is going with their product line. They are currently positioned between the low-end cheap chinese market and the higher-end name brand market. There was certianly a gap to fill there. Not only are they forcing the cheap market to push out better quality, they are barking at the heels of the name brands and hopefully putting some pressure on them to either innovate or at the very least keep their pricing in check. Keep up the good work Ghaaleri!

I have worked with the .2 and .3 Mobius airbrushes and I can say its a fine brush, I liked working with it and got great results. However, it is 100% certain not the best airbrush in the world. Both my Harder & Steenbeck Evolution and Infinity are better, higher build quality, more consistent spray pattern, and much tighter seal tolerances. I must say that the Mobius is very close to the H&S, and it's much cheaper. My biggest fear is that the Mobius might not last as the seal tolerances are not that great and one of the two Mobius I worked with was very prone to getting paint into the inners of the brush as the seals don't work that well. I think this all has to do with manufacturing tolerances so you can get lucky or not. If money is not an issue the H&S are certainly a better option. But if you want to spend a little less the Mobius works very well and I liked working with them. Both Gaahleri and H&S have great customer support so that is not a reason to prefer one above the other. I have been looking into the airbrush market and read/viewed many reviews and I think GSI Creos/Mr Hobby PS-267/274 might be the best value for money as the quality is very close to H&S and the price is closer to Gaahleri. The only reason I never bought one is because it looks like cleaning them is more work then my H&S brushes. Cleaning is the reason I bought an H&S and sold my Badger Omni 4000 as the H&S does not require a tool and cleans faster then the Badger. Cleaning the Mobius is about the same as the H&S.
