I’m part of the commonwealth in Canada but I only discovered this show on KZfaq and compilations and such. But it still gut punched me that it got canceled. I really like the show.

I feel like this show was key to the transfer of generations. The comedians of the 90s and 00s really got this show going, and then after Russell and Frankie left, that's when the current crop of stars began popping up and making their mark

@@tedhobgood there's a difference. The Showaddywaddy jokes were always an out of the blue reference to a (at the time) much beloved figure. The punchline of "the Fuhrer" joke relies on the fact that Hitler should be, and is, utterly despised.

Would be nice, but probably won't happen because some of them wouldn't interested in doing it for one reason or another. At best, you'd maybe get Russell Howard and Chris Addison back for one more go around, but Rory lost interest in the show early on (part of it could be how they slowly moved away from impressions as a thing for rounds), Frankie left because he was being restricted on what he could say, and Andy felt it was time to move on.

Unfortunately Frankie sold out. He's no longer funny and just says what he's supposed to - the equivalent of US late night talk show hosts, giving a sermon and people applaud because they agree. Nothing funny actually said. At least we'll always have the old stuff... at least until it gets removed for wrongthink.

@@Htrac You definitively don't know Frankie then. Watch his new show and you'll see that he is still as fringe and razor-sharp as always. He is just more dark and openly socialist leaning now, which puts a bit of a damper on the razor-sharp bits, but it is still 95% of back then.

Dara always looked quite a bit older than he actually was - hence his apparent lack of aging - something he actually spoke about in his first DVD if memory serves

He doesn't seem to go for that sort of thing. He needs to be the focus of attention. Plus he always seems to be bored by these other comedians.

I do think the later series has comedy gold with Rhys James and Ed Gamble on at the same time. Like an older and younger brother bantering.
