Күн бұрынToday, we try to refurbish and repair a broken Gameboy Color and replace the screen with a TFT Screen Mod Guide to turn it into the ultimate Gameboy Color Lite.
This is the newest version of the 'One Chip' version of the Game Boy All-In-One (AIO) TFT transflective backlight kits and uses the same screen as the Neo Geo Pocket and Gameboy Color.
Wait till you see the improvement this thing has over the original screen.

The Game Boy Color is a redesigned version of the original Game Boy pocket now with color having the same features. It was released in 1998. Making it only 22 years old. I prefer the tft to the ips since the battery life is much improved.

in a world where there's 2 different full size IPS displays, and one larger than stock IPS display for about the same cost, there's 0 reason anyone should ever buy these drop-in tft kits.

It's actually more cost effective if you are not doing a battery mod. TFT goes up to 10 hours while IPS 3 hrs on AA batteries.

@@HeyHaffiz most people who invest in these gameboy mods will either buy rechargeable AAs or install a battery mod. I can't really imagine a use case where I'd be away from a charger for more than 10 hours, but still need my gameboy lol.

@@CockroachMunchingKrabbyPatty as a person who works long hours, I beg to differ in that having a battery that can hold up to a pause here and there makes a world of difference. Even with a battery pack mod I did for a GBA with an IPS, it just ate through batteries in no time even on the lowest brightness and the volume off

You can adjust the video settings to play it at 0.75% if it's too fast. Long videos are boring
